No attempt at small talk was made while you both made your way to the third floor.
This would have been the perfect chance for you to ask Tenya any remaining questions, but you chickened out last minute. Instead, you waited for him to take the lead and to direct you to which room you would be using.
You both stopped as you stood in between your two dorms and you watched as realization clouded Tenyas face. It seemed that he had forgotten you both would be sharing a room and that you had yet to choose which one.
Tenya scratched at the back of his neck, sighing before turning to you completely. "It seems we've... glossed over an important factor of our assignment..."
You nodded your head, unsure of how to settle the minor standstill you both were in. In the end, you didn't really care which room was used but, you weren't sure if the same could be said for your partner. Deciding to throw Tenya a bone, you asked, "Do you feel ok with using your room for this assignment?" Then quickly added, "We can use my room if you don't feel comfortable with me in your personal space."
Tenya shook his head furiously, arm coming up to the air once more as he stated, "It would be thoughtless of me to just allow you to offer up your room, (Y/N). There must be another way to settle this."
You sighed, knowing that Tenya would make things harder than necessary. You clapped your hands together then said, "How about this: Let's look at both of our rooms together and then determine which one would be best for two-person use. That sound fair?"
Tenya thought it over and eventually nodded, letting out a small "Good idea" as you both walked over to your dorm. You opened the door and stepped aside slightly, lifting your arm up to let Tenya walk inside first before stepping in yourself.
You both stood close to the door as it shut softly behind you, eyes roaming your room in thought. It wasn't messy, but it wasn't exactly clean either. Small posters lined the wall, your drawer in slight disarray as your hero costume hanged limply on it. You'd been in a rush these past couple of days, going from class to your internship, so you'd barely had a chance to pick up after yourself. Clothes were strewn about, as well as some textbooks you had taken from the library regarding quirks similar to yours.
Your bed was unmade and your desk was filled to the brim in paperwork from school, tests dating back to your first year at UA. The only places that stayed relatively clean was your closet and bathroom. You realized that if you were to use your room, you'd have to clean and straighten everything up in a short amount of time in order to house Tenya.
Said male stepped further into the room, ignoring your inner turmoil, and came face to face with the two duffel bags placed haphazardly next your bed. He saw that they were semi packed and turned to you questioningly. "Did you assume we would be using my room?"
"Huh?"
He grabbed at the two bags, opening them slightly to see what was placed inside. His face flushed slightly as he caught sight of your underwear, before hurriedly placing both bags on the bed for you to see. You let out a small "Oh" as you saw what he was referring to.
You replied, "In all honesty, I probably would've packed my bags even if we used my room instead of yours."
At Tenyas confused expression, you elaborated. "Aizawa Sensei mentioned that the dorms wouldn't be the only place we stayed in. My bet is that they might dump us in some training ground later into the month to see how far along we have gotten and how effectively we work with our partners. Packing a bag in advance would help us move along faster."
