Akaashi waited as he listened to the quiet thumping of Etsuko's feet become louder the closer she came downstairs. Something confused Akaashi, because he swears he started to hear slower foot steps following after the female, but he didn't question it. It's not his business, and he guessed it was just Suna.

"AKAASHIIII," Etsuko shouted as she ran twords said male, embracing him in a hug. Akaashi welcomed her with open arms, taking in her scent of weed and shampoo. It's a weird combination, honestly. And to his guess, Suna did come down not long after Etsuko. It does bother him a little. That where ever Etsuko is, Suna is following. That they spend so much time together. Akaashi won't question it, though.

"Hello, Etsuko, Suna, how are you?" Akaashi greets them. his voice is soft and welcoming, never above a loud whisper.

"I'm good!" The woman says, taking the bags of food from the blue-eyed boy, heading to the kitchen to eat her share. Akaashi follows her with his eyes, but only for a moment. His gaze shifts over to Suna. Suna is already looking at him. Although Akaashi's gaze was indifferent, the other male had a look on his face Akaashi couldn't describe.

"What about you?" Akaashi asked again. Suna just stared at him. Their gaze on each other never wavered. It's almost like a staring contest. And neither was going to back down.

"Hey, Aka-" Etsuko stopped mid sentence, sensing the energy in the air. She didn't like it. It was making her uncomfortable with how quiet the room was and how the two men were just looking at each other.

"Damn, the sexual tension in here is so strong," Etsuko says, trying to lighten the air. Suna picked up a nearby pillow and threw it at her, making Akaashi giggle at the yelp you gave.

"Yes, Etsuko?" Akaashi answers her with a sweet voice.

"They didn't give any barbeque sauce. my nuggets will be dry as hell. "

"Don't you have any barbeque sauce in your pantry?" Suna asked her, his tone irritated for some reason.

"No, Suna! It won't taste the same!"

"We can go back up there for some?" Akaashi suggested.

"Nah, it's ok. I'll just eat'em dry," Etsuko says, a little but of defeat in her voice.

"I'll get em" Suna says, gathering his things to leave.

"Really? Thanks, Suna!! Love you tons!!"

"Yeah, yeah," he said before he shut the door, and it's now just her and Akaashi

"Etsuko," Akaashi calls out.

"Yes," she answers cheerfully.

"You aren't sober at the moment, are you?"

"Of course I am!" She knew she was lying. But to her, it was a harmless lie.

"The smell of weed is radiating off of you." Akaashi knew she was lying. And it bugged him a little that she did.

"What!? Is not!"

"C'mon Etsuko, let's go clear your room,"

"Man, okay.." She reluctantly follows the man to her room.

Akaashi's POV

Etsuko followed me up the stairs to her bedroom. I think back to the interaction I had with Suna and can't help the uneasy feeling in my chest. I know i love Etsuko. I have for a long time. But I like our friendship, and I'm scared to ruin it. And I can't see her with anyone else. But I get the feeling that maybe I'm not the only one who likes her. Would the way Suna was looking at me confirm it?

I entered her room, and all the smoke that was in there immediately flew out, looking purple from her LED lights.

"How long have you guys been-" I was cut off by the sound of her voice.

"Akaashiii"
Her lovely, soothing voice. I turn and look at Etsuko and see a pout on her lips.

"Yes?" I answer, a breath clogged my throat. Her lips look so pretty. I look away from her lips and into her eyes, and I felt something scheming behind them.
