"Happy Valentine's Day!"

Korra stood frozen when Asami handed the blonde a bunch of tiger lilies and a box of chocolates. It was a simple and traditional gesture and it touched Korra's heart just like anything Asami did for her but Korra was at a complete loss for words. It wasn't because Korra was shocked, it was because she had nothing planned for Asami and she felt so guilty.

"O, oh..." Korra strangled out. "Thanks, babe." She took the gifts where she smelt the tiger lilies  and they were heavenly.

Korra couldn't remember the last time she smelt any type of flower.

"Are you okay?" Asami checked. "You look a bit out of sorts."

"Oh, no, it's nothing. It's just... I... I wasn't expecting this that's all."

"I know. I thought I'd surprise you and I thought that maybe... we could go out to dinner tonight? Just you and me?"

"Ah, I, ah... I actually have plans to take you out tonight for a... special dinner and some other stuff. I, ah, I thought you had forgotten about today and I was going to surprise you." Korra said as she rubs the back of her neck.

"Aw! Sweetie!" Asami stepped forward and wrapped her little arms around her girlfriend, pressing their bodies together. "You didn't have to do anything for me you know."

"Are you kidding? I'd do anything for you."

"Aww..." Asami then reached down to pull up Korra for a kiss. "You're too sweet."

"Says the woman who got me lilies and chocolates," Korra chuckled.

"But you are baby, you are so kind and caring person I know. Ok baby I've got to go to work. I'll be back later."

"Okay, bye, honey. Have a good day. Call if you need me."

"Always, my love" Asami then leaned down to kiss her goodbye. "I love you baby."

"I love you, too."

Korra walked Asami out, giving her one last kiss before the brunette left for work. Once Asami left, Korra shut the door, rested her head against it, and sighed.

"You don't have anything planned, have you?"

"What the...?" Korra's eyes jolted open by the sound of Lin's voice. "Dammit, Lin! You've got to stop doing that shit."

"What?" Lin looked at her confused from the couch as if her sneaking in is a everyday thing for her.

"Inviting yourself into other people's homes when you are clearly not invited. You are the sheriff isn't this breaking and entering?" Said watching Lin walk to the kitchen probably looking for food. She soon starts to fallow the older woman.

"Oh please kid, Asami said that I'm welcome any time. So..." Lin pulled up a chair at the dining table, putting her feet on the top after garbing a bag of chips. "So, what are you going to do about tonight?"

"I have no idea..." Korra placed her gifts on the table and sitting across from Lin, tangling her fingers in her hair anxiously. "I had completely forgotten about Valentine's Day."

"No shit..."

"No, I mean, we never celebrated it when I was with Mako. I faintly remember it when I was a kid but it was never really that big."

"It's still not anything big today kid. Only suckers celebrate the day that benefits card, chocolate, and flower companies. I wish I could live in a world without Valentine's Day. Just saying the name makes me sick..." Said as she got up to go to the fridge
