Have you ever thought about it? How moon is so pretty? Everyday I think about it. How it's so so far away from us, yet it's so beautiful.
You can look at it for hours, and your eyes wouldn't hurt, as they do with the sun, because the sun is fierce and to me it is like a source of power. But the moon? It's calm. It's shine laced with gracefulness as it spreads in the dark night. When it's full or even when it's crescent, it's so attractive.
The most fascinating thing to me, atleast, is that we all, look at the same moon everytime. Me and you both, Dosen't matter if we live on the other side of the earth, so far away. Your loved ones, the ones who are far from you, they also do.
The moon never changed. It's still the same, it has seen the you 10 years ago and you now. It gazes us back and the fine moonlight is like silk that covers over lands and mountains.
How moon is loved by so many, even though it's not spotless. You can see many blotches if you see carefully, or in pictures. Still it shines brightly. Now I'm not gonna start the typical cheesy talk on how we should be like the moon, everyone says that. Nothing new. But it still is inspiring, even the tiniest bit.
Remeber how when we were kids, and we were in the car with our parents and we thought the moon was chasing us? It never leaves, it's always there. We can always see it, soemtimes we can't, but it is there. Has always been, will always be. I feel so grateful that I have eyes, the vision to see such a precious thing. I feel blessed, imagine seeing only one colour every second of you life and nothing else? I'm so grateful for my sight.
Moon has seen you tired at night, overworked from all the morning work. Your most vulnerable states too, when you felt drained and had no motivation to do anything. It looks over everyone in the world, silently but yet it feels powerful.
Do you think sometimes moon feels lonely? As if it has no purpose? Sun gives us sunlight and nurtures life on this planet. But moon? People treat it as a mere accessory. It has many jobs too, it's not just appreciated much. There are stars around it but I always wonder, if I was the moon how would I feel.. Happy that so many people look upto me, or sad that no one is there with me.
We all share a common thing in the world, and it's really beautiful. I'm glad I can see it, because it deserves the appreciation, for always being a comforting source or light for us.
