Any time I saw him he was with that girl and honestly tore me apart more and more, I was just too scared to say it. I did nothing but focus on my first, maybe last, performance here at the academy. I had to be the best at it!

During 2nd period, Ms.Green called me to her room. As soon as I walked in there I saw Austin. My heart was beating so hard I couldn't even breathe! All my happiness stopped flowing once I saw the girl Austin's been walking around with. " Gomez. Mahone is going to switch partners. So you're gonna have to do this alone. Think you can do it? If you can this will end up giving you a scholarship for next semester," she said with a little smile on her face. The only thing I could do? Smile and nod, "yeah miss. I can totally do this by myself."

She smiled widely and proudly," then its settled, you are gonna do this alone. I wish you luck"

That was that and I was sent back to class, with Austin and the girl. It was silent all the way there. It seemed as if time was going really slow. I finally just got rid of my shyness said," so hey. I never got to know your name!"

The girl looked and me with a brow raised," Camila. Its my stage name as well.how about you?"

I just wanted to rip off her head right then and there. Every muscle I had in me was telling me, jump on her! She's evil! Don't even dare become friends! She will end up being the death of you!

Me being me, I ignored it. I just was that stupid. "My names Rebbeca Gomez but I go by Becky G," I said.

She snickered, " Doesn't G stand for Gangster?"

" Yeah but for me it also stands as Gomez."

She nodded and looked at Austin. There was a sparkle in her eyes it was the same sparkle I used to have. I looked at Austin with hope back then. Now? I look at him with just simple drowned eyes. I couldn't take the pain any longer. So I just went running to class. I heard footsteps behind me so I ran faster. "Becky! Please don't ignore me!" Austin yelled but I never looked back?.

*Performance time*

I must've left Freddy over a thousand voice messages because it was already full. I was freaking out. Freddy was my ticket to like a scholarship and freedom from home. I looked everywhere in the audience but the only people I saw were just my mom and siblings. That's when I finally had my brain flip. I felt like I was gonna die! My intestines felt like they were turning inside out. My heart felt like an elephant running from a pack of lions.I couldn't breathe at all. All of a sudden my phone rang, Freddy's face popped up. "Jesus Freddy! Where the hell are you?" I whispered/yelled into the phone.

"I'm in the back tell Alex and Frankie to help out," Freddy said then added," so since you aren't gonna be working with Austin I came up with some different beats. I'll send em right now. Get started on the bars B" I followed his instructions as soon as he sent me the beats. I knew this was my chance so I went on it. I perfected and perfected until I just couldn't anymore.

As soon as freddy was all set up, Ms.Green started up the concert. "Well hello there students. As most of you know your fellow classmates got you out of your classes for the rest of the day. It is now up to you to decide which one of these kids stay here at the academy," she said. Everyone, including myself, started to go insane. She never told any of this! I calmed down and waited for her to continue on. "As another surprise, I have brought a special guest. Dr.Luke if you can do me a favor and wave to the crowd." My eyes went wide. The Dr.Luke is here? I saw him wave and sit back down. There is no way that I will just perform something I never had before now.

I took out my phone and texted Freddy.
