Taking it back to Inglewood

"But i thought we could. I mean what happened to work? You were making enough money to keep me in!" I yelled panicking about my future.

"Mija, you're dad was fired. Fired because the manager is a pendejo who doesn't know what a good worker is," my mom sadly said.

" But dad, you even said that i would havr a better life here then back at home!"

"Becky, im sorry but we can't afford this place. You can be a rapper at home too not just here."

I rolled my eyes and slouched back onto my seat. I didn't even shed a tear because i knew if i did, my dad would see weakness. He didnt raise me for weakness. While we drove to the academy, i put on my ear buds and played the mixtape my cousin, Freddy, gave to me before i left. Freddy is an amazing D.J. He's played at the hottest clubs in L.A. All of a sudden, i got the idea of a lifetime. Freddy needed to be noticed somewhere far away from California and i needed some beats. Perfect combination.

I'm not gonna leave the academy without a couple of bangs, i mean its only right.  I started to call Austin, Justin, Ariana, everyone! I told them to meet me at the front of the school wearing dance attire.  My mom looked at that big smile i had on my face, she looked at me like i belonged in a mental hospital. I sorta did but it was still okay.

My phone rang and i looked at it to see that Freddy was calling. I answered it immediately.

"Hey B. You alright?" He asked with a worried voice.

"Yeah i am, i just need you to come to the academy as fast as possible. Bring all the dancers from the 718 crew. Im bring it back to Inglewood," i said softly so neither of my parents would hear me.

"Oh yeah!" He screamed and then hanged up.

As soon as i got to the academy, i hopped out the truck and ran to the inside, looking for Austin and the gang. My heart was pounding like never before. I couldn't breathe at all. I felt like my insides were eating my outsides if that makes any sense.

"Becky!" I heard someone scream. I turned to my right and saw Austin.

I ran straight for him and gave him a tight hug. "You are absolutely gonna love what I've come up with for the performance in a few days," i sigh.

"Okay, so thats why you wanted all of us to get here"

"Yes in a few hours, my cousin/dj is gonna be here. Along with a few friends from back home. So please just bare with me now"

"Okay so what are we gonna call this so 'ms ill expell you from the academy' doesn't find out that we're up way past curfew, cause I know you'll do this."
