(Henry's POV)
"Honey, how long are you going to keep living this way?"
"What way?"
"You're not getting any younger, don't you think you should get married?"
"Why, is it necessary?"
"Henry,"
"Mom, why do you think marriage is necessary?, I mean I'm not married yet I'm so happy."
"Honey. You need to get married, I actually have someone in mind."
"Who?"
"You know Joyce right?"
"Dad's business partner's daughter?"
"Yes. She's pretty."
"I don't like her. She's too forward."
"Okay, how about Nora?"
"Nah, we broke up a week ago."
"Rachel?"
"She's married."
"What?, But you were dating."
"Not really."
"Phoebe?"
"I never liked her."
"Oh what about Tina?, I really liked her."
"I don't think Tina would ever want to see me again."
"What did you do?"
"Don't worry about it."
"I just want you to find someone that'll make you happy."
"I know you do, okay? I know you love me and that you want the best for me but be patient."
"Till when?"
"When I find her, I'll let you know."
"Okay, but don't let it take too long or else I'm going to find her for you."
"Understood. I'll see you later, I have to go now."
"Already?"
"Yeah, I have to get back to work." He kissed her forehead and headed towards the exit. He strolled casually in their compound and got in his car where a lady was waiting for him.
"What took you so long?" She asked as he fastened his seatbelt.
"My mom was going on about marriage."
"Oh okay, well did you tell her about me?" She asked, batting her lashes but he only scoffed and said no. "No?"
"Why would I tell her about you?"
They shared an uncomfortable silence until she finally decided to say something else. "Henry?,"
"Hmm?"
"What am I to you?"
"I'm not sure I understand that question."
"I mean, what do you feel for me?"
"Nothing." He answered without taking his eyes off the road.
"Nothing?"
"Yeah. I don't feel anything for you, any thing else I tell you would be a lie, and I don't lie."
"Then what about all we've shared?, Doesn't it mean anything to you?"
Shared?, You mean sex?, Don't be ridiculous. All that was just for fun."
"Don't you feel like you've been taking advantage of me?"
"Why would I feel that way?, I came to you with a request and you accepted so how am I taking advantage of you?"
"You've been taking advantage of my feelings."
"You're starting to piss me off Mia."
"Don't you think you're being harsh right now?"
"No, I actually think you're overreacting."
"Don't you even care that my feelings are hurt?"
"That's enough Mia, don't make me get angry."
"Henry I love you, and I thought you loved me too. You and I would make a great couple, I just know it, you just have to give me a chance-"
"I said enough!." He slowed down the car and parked by the roadside. "Get out."
"What?"
He got out of the car, went over to the passengers side and opened the door. "I said get out." She reluctantly got out shielded her head with her hands because it was raining. "Here." He handed her some amount of money. "Get a cab and go home."
"But it's raining. You can't do this to me."
"That's why I asked you to get a cab, I'm being generous, considering this was your fault." He slammed the door and went back into his car. He wanted to drive off but she stood in front of his car. He reversed and moved forward like he was going to hit her and she moved to the safety of the side way, giving him the chance to drive off.
When he got home, he met a girl sitting in front of his door. When she saw him, she stood up and waited for him.
"What are you doing here?"
"I came to ask you something."
"What is it?"
"Is it really over between us?"
"You came all the way from Canada to ask me that?"
"I'm really curious. I wanna know, are you really planning on throwing all what we had away?"
"We broke up. Five years ago, don't you think it's time you moved on?"
"Don't you think you owe me an apology?. I mean after all you did to me, I still came here to try to make things right."
"An apology?, What did I do wrong?"
"Remember when you broke the glass statue at my brother's fiancee's party?"
"That little accident?"
"Yeah I had to pay a fine of five thousand dollars for that little accident."
"So what?, You're here for a refund?"
"Would it kill you to say thank you?"
"For what?, I never asked you to cover for me. If you want the money just ask, instead of wasting my time."
"I came here because I still love you Henry, I still want to be with you."
"Then you wasted your time."
"How can you be this cold?, After all we've been through, Henry I gave you my all. I got an abortion because of you."
"Because of me?, No. You did it because you wanted to. I asked you to get an abortion and you did it, clearly you didn't want the baby either."
"Henry-"
"I really don't have time for this, I'm tired and I need to rest." He started to walk in but she stopped him.
"If you go in like this, I'll never see you again. I'll never forgive you."
"I really hope we never see each other again."
"I'm going to tell your mom all that happened between us."
"Fine, go ahead. Tell her how you desperately threw yourself at me, how you shamelessly killed an innocent child because of a man."
"I did it because I love you!."
"I'm tired of hearing that word. Look Melanie, I never loved you. All we had was nothing but sex and good times, get that into your head."
"That's a lie, I know you love me too. You can keep this whole bad boy act but I can see right through it."
"You can keep being delusional, I'm less concerned about that. I'm going in now, you can stay out here if you like." He walked in and slammed the door behind him.
