The orthopedic doctor said that she could have surgery, but that it was a risky operation and the results of improvement were neither a guarantee nor a certainty, so Maite discarded that option completely.

Sophie, has been a fundamental pillar in Maite's recovery. As soon as she heard about the accident, she postponed her return trip to France and helped Angela to take care of her, exchanging herself during the week to take care of her friend and thus allowing Angela to return to the apartment to get cleaned up, eat something and rest for a few hours.
