Akakuro short story; Happy Birthday Kuroko!

Kuroko sigh as looked outside the balcony as he waited at home alone waiting for his husband to return home.

The food in the kitchen was getting cold.

There was suddenly a ring on his phone.

It was a voice message from Sei.

"Tetsuya, I'll be a little late. Sorry if I don't make it." Akashi said.

Kuroko sadly looked down.

"Baka." Kuroko grab his jacket and walk out of their apartment.

He didn't know where he was going but he was a bit angry at Sei.

But he really wanted to see him.

Akashi curse himself for not making it on time home.

Tetsuya was probably angry at him.

When he came home Tetsuya wasn't home. He saw the food that was still left untouched.

"Shoot." Akashi quickly ran back outside.

He ran and ran around until trying to find Tetsuya.

Tetsuya was probably mad at him for not coming on time for his birthday.

He knew about it since they had planned it but work got to him.

How should he make it up to him?

Akashi stop when he saw a Flower shop.

Kuroko came to a stop when he noticed he was at Teiko middle school entrance.

"That's right. This was where everything started. And the first time we met." Kuroko enter the school.

Kuroko saw some students playing soccer as they laugh and chase each other.

They were probably in their clubs right now.

Kuroko heard the sound of a basketball. He followed the sound and took a peak inside the gym.

There he saw students playing basketball with laughter and smiles.

They looked like they were having fun.

-Kuroko flashback-

"Tetsuya. What are you doing?" Akashi walked up to him as he wipe his sweat with a towel.

Kuroko was flat on the floor after harsh training by the coach.

"I'm dying. The coach made me ran 4 laps." Kuroko said sweaty from running outside earlier.

"Here." Akashi out a cold water bottle on his head.

Kuroko blink.

"Thank you." Kuroko sat up.

Akashi smiled and sat down next to him as Kuroko drank the water bottle.

As Kuroko was drinking the water bottle he noticed someone was staring at him.

He looked over and saw Akashi was staring at him.

"Your cute." Akashi suddenly said.

Kuroko suddenly cough as he choke on water.

"Are you okay?" Akashi patted his back.

"W-What are you saying! I'm a boy!" Kuroko face was red.

Akashi eyes widen when at Kuroko reaction. He cover his Mouth and turned away.

Kuroko noticed Akashi ears were red.

-Flashback end-

Kuroko sat up and thought it was time to go home.

He looked up and saw the beautiful Sakura trees were fully grown.

He lift his hand up as a petal fell onto his hand.

Suddenly there were footsteps behind him.

The person behind him sounded so out of breath.

Kuroko turned around and saw Akashi who looked up at him.

"I found you." Akashi smiled and walked up to him.

"Sei..." Kuroko looked at him.

"Here." Akashi pulled out a bouquet of roses.

Kuroko eyes widen and carefully took the flower.

"Sorry I was late. I wanted to surprise you." Akashi said.

"Surprise me?" Kuroko looked at him.

Akashi came face to face to him and lean toward him.

It was a sweet and gentle kiss.

"Happy birthday Tetsuya." Akashi smiled.

Kuroko fell in love all over again.

"Thank you." Kuroko hugged him with a smile.

Akashi hugged him back tightly.

"Let's go home. I wanna eat your cooking." Akashi said.

"Yeah." Kuroko smiled.

They held each other hands as they walked back home.
