The Horrific Attack

Axl felt a sigh leave Sam's mouth as he relaxed into his warm sheets. He looked at the clock  "3pm? Sam really sleeps in"Axl smiled and got out of bed as Sam curled up in the sheets.  Axl went to put on his armor. His basic armor design is somewhat similar to X's with a indigo sheen featuring red accents. His shoulder guards are pointed and his legs feature small booster-like compartments. Jutting from his upper back are two long, white retractable "wings." His helmet design, when viewed from topside, resembles an upside down 'A' with a circular camera-like lens in the center. Once his armor was on, Axl went back to the bedroom and softly say "Good morning" , Sam opened his eyes slowly and sat up and stretched before rubbing his eyes and giving a very tired "morning"  which made Axl giggle slightly. Sam was always so adorable when he is still groggy after being woken up. "Well, I better head out too. I'll see you tonight" Axl said before he gave his classic grin "alright, be safe" Sam said softly before Axl nodded and turned around "See you later" Sam waved as he left. He was a little sad to see him go but they both knew that they had a job to do and for now they couldn't be together. Sam sighed and got up from the bed and went to go take a shower, you walked to the bathroom with his new clothes and turned on the water to let it warm up for a moment as Sam set his clothes down on the counter along with his glasses. sam looked ta himself in the mirror, he knew for a long time that he was an albino and to be honest he used to hate it a lot.. but nowadays it doesn't bother him so much. After a moment he takes off his pajamas and goes into the shower, he let the water drip down his body as he closed his eyes and thought to himself. After about 30 minutes or so he turns off the water and wraps a towel around himself and drys off before changing into his new clothes which was a white button up shirt, black pants, back socks and a light blue flower clip in his hair then he put on his glasses and looked at the mirror."You better get going if you want to make that train"Sam heard a voice in his head and turned towards the mirror then saw a small image of Eric looking back at him. "i-...!" Sam shook his head "jeez i'm hallucinating" he said before he went to make breakfast which was eggs and toast. Afterwords Sam thought to himself as he got ready to go 'maybe you should visit your sisters and brother' he thought to himself as he got his book from the bookshelf. He felt a little bash on his leg paired with a little meow, Sam looked down and saw his cat Snowy "hey Snowy" Sam said with a small smile before he knelt down and pet the white fluffy cat "how's my girl?" he asked the Snowy who just purred and flopped onto the ground. After a few seconds Sam stood back up "sorry Snowy, I have to go now but I'll be back soon to give you lots of pets so be good now" SAm said as he put his book in his bag and put on his shoes."Bye now" he said to the mirror with a smile then left his room.

Sam walked out of the door and locked it behind him before he started to walk down the streets of Abel City. Abel City.. the place where Reploids and Humans could live together in harmony.. It's kinda ironic to say where there was so many Maverick attacks and incidents around the City. Hell there have been wars with Mavericks going against the good Reploids who were on the Humans side. Even the City of Avis which was a post to be a safe place for Reploids and Humans away from the Maverick activities got attacked. Sam soon arrived at the train station and waited calmnly for his train.Trains could take Sam back to the City where he had lived before he left. Sam thought about it but he didn't want to go there again.. it brings him bad memories of his family. Sam remembered everything that had happened when he was little. Things back then where nice, He had his mother and father and his four other siblings and everything seemed nice... until his mother died from a car crash since his grandmother cut the break of his mother's car. His dad became sad and emotionally distant from Sam and his siblings and his grandmother and uncle abused Sam and his siblings with Sam taking most of it since he didn't want his siblings to go through it. His grandmother was emotionally and mentally abusive while his uncle was physically abusive. Hell Sam still has the scars on his back to prove it! And one time when Sam was asking his father about his thoughts on the LGBTQ+ community his father put his gun ageist Sam's head and said 'if you kiss a boy i'm gonna shoot you dead' before he put his gun away. Sam felt so bitter thinking of that messed up household, but he did run away with his siblings and they moved to Abel City for a new start.. until Eric, his younger brother got killed by a Maverick. Sam shook his head as he heard the train begin to slow down to the station. He waited for the doors of the train to open before he walked inside and sat down. Sam then pulled his book out from his bag, he should really stop thinking about the past for now. And so he read his book for the remainder of the train ride so he could distract himself.As he stepped off the train he saw the familiar buildings and streets of the Abel City. After a bit of walking Sam arrived at the museum, the institution that had took him in when he arrived here. Sam took a small breath and smile softly the air was a nice anchor to reality for him before he walked to the cafe to read his book and get some coffee to drink.Sam arrived at the cafe and took a seat in one of the seats with table outside the cafe known as 'The Summer Moon Cafe'. Sam opened his book and listened to the music since it was also playing outside, it was "La vie en Rose" by Louis Armstrong. Yep this was a nice way to spend his afternoon? He read his book with a smile, his red-ish pink-ish eyes drifted the pages and glided over the words on the page. He was very relaxed at the moment.Sam was there for a couple of hours before an employee came and told him that the cafe was about to close for the day. "oh." Sam closed his book since he had finished it. Had he been reading the whole day? man time flys for him huh? Sam nodded and got up, fixing his glasses on his face and wishing the cafe employee a good day before he left to go get something to eat, maybe he should have some donut holes? hmm guess he'll have to see. 

But before he could fully leave he could hear screaming and guns firing a-and he smelt fire and smoke. 'oh no.. don't tell me' Sam's thoughts were filled with dread only for him to be snapped out of it when SUDDENLY! he heard a familiar Ticking from nearby it was a bomb "miss get down!" Sam yelled before pushing the employee out of the way so she wouldn't get that badly hurt. He turned around and felt a sudden yet strong pressure push him back as the ground beneath him collapsed under him "AHH!" Sam screamed out as he fell, closing his eyes tightly as to not see what was going to happen to him as he may or may not have fainted. After a few minutes Sam felt something sharp though the left side of his lower stomach and liquid coming out of it. He opened his eyes and looked down, his eyes widened in fear as he saw that he had been impaled by a rod that was probably used to keep the building up and he was bleeding. Oh god no.. no no no no no no no Sam teared up from the pain and fear of dying. No he has to live! Axl was in his thoughts as he struggled to get up or really do anything due to the pain. "!" he heard voices above him "Hello? HELLO!" Sam screamed out his breathing was uneven "hey.. HEY please! I'm down here! I'm down here I'm stuck I'm stuck.. I can't move! I can't move!" Sam shouted in desperation. X and Zero heard Sam and looked down and saw him "hang on!" X shouted back as he and Zero started to make their ways down to him. Sam's body was in shock as he closed his eyes. 'No please no..' he thought as he felt Zero grabbing him "Sam hang on I'm here help is on the way." Axl heard Zero over the coms "wait X.. Zero where are you guys!" Axl asked concerned "were by the explosion at that cafe near the museum in sector B 30.19" X said over the coms. Axl rushed towards where X and Zero. Axl flew into the air with the thrusters on his ankles and wings on his back towards where they said they where, There was fire and smoke everywhere. "Hunter base; this is X! Send for an ambulance-- A human has been badly injured!" X said."Understood, where sending one over now" Alia said in response.In the meantime Sam had passed out from the pain and shock.Sam's body was taken to the hospital.

Sam opened his eyes and looked down at his left arm which had an IV in it and then he looked towards his right which had the screen that montores his heart rate and so on. He sighed softly before he turned his head to the left again and saw a familiar figure resting his head on his legs. It was Axl! on jeez he must've been real worried. Sam moved his left hand to Axl and gently stroked his hair "Hey" he said softly.Axl opened his eyes and closed them for a moment before he looked up at him and smiled."How are you feeling?" Axl asked "ehhh getting impaled is not a fun thing" Sam said to somewhat brighten the mood up in the room. "pfft- I- I don't think it should be" Axl laughed slightly as he picked up Sam's joke. Axl soon calmed down and added on "Well the doctor said I'm good and I should be able to leave in a few days" Sam placed a hand on his chest and sighed in relief "thank goodness"  Sam explained what happened on his end of that Maverick Attack. "You will be soon, now you just need to rest and I'll be here to keep you company"Sam smiled a bit at that. "thank you Axl.." Sam said softly as he leaned back into his pillow "hey Sam?" Axl asked "?" Sam opened his eyes "d-do you.. want me to sing to you?" Axl asked shyly "sure" Sam said softly, Sam began to sing softly and gently caressed Axl's hair with his left hand as he did so. Sam soon closed eyes and his hand fell down from Axl's head as Sam fell asleep, Axl smiled softly and kissed Sam's forehead before he laid on the hospital bed with Sam powering off so he could rest too. 

Tonight has been a crazy night...
