TW: Graphic descriptions of gore and violence
Disclaimer: This story is based on a dream I had a while back. I need to write it down since it's going to bother me if I don't. This is written for fun and is in no way supposed to offend anyone
The smell of blood was intoxicating. Warm blood covered my hands as the knife glided against the skin of the unlucky victim's neck. My heart raced. It had been months since I had been able to get this high. Adrenaline rushing through my veins, a fresh corpse lying at my feet. In their last moments, they had begged for me to spare them. Those were my favorite kinds of victims. This would all be covered up nicely within half an hour. No one will find out this secret.
"Hyunjin hyung!" Jeongin called from the opposite side of the room. "How was practice?"
He smiled at Jeongin and walked over to him. "It was great. Want to practice with me sometime?" He asked.
"Sure!" Jeongin smiled widely, his eyes following Hyunjin as he walked by him and to his room.
It was late at night on a Sunday. Chan was busy recording his talk show and the rest of the members were either working out or chatting with each other in the living room. As of now they all lived peacefully not knowing the dark secret hiding within one of their own members.
Jeongin joined Felix, Minho, and Seungmin in the living room, settling down between Seungmin and Felix. "I'm worried about Hyunjin hyung. He's been working so hard lately and I'm worried that he hasn't been resting," Jeongin said, feeling better telling other people his feelings.
"I understand where you're coming from but Hyunjin has been doing better," Seungmin said, addressing Jeongin's worries. "He was going through a hard time but he's listened to Stay's and Chan's advice and hasn't been working as hard."
Jeongin sighed in relief, deciding to watch Chan's live to pass the time since the three other members seemed busy doing their own thing. He put in his earbuds, listening to the song that Chan was currently playing. A few seconds into the song, Chan paused it, looking up at something on the opposite side of the camera.
"Hyunjin's here," Chan said, addressing the Stay's that had tuned in. Hyunjin waved his hand in front of the camera, staying out of view. "What have you been doing?"
"I was practicing our new choreography," Hyunjin said. "I'm exhausted so I think I'm going to go sleep. Bye, Stay!" He added, once again waving at the camera before leaving the room.
Jeongin turned off his phone, leaning his head against Seungmin's shoulder. He felt like an idiot for thinking too much into Hyunjin's behavior but he hadn't always worked so hard. The practice room was booked practically all day when they weren't doing group practices. He felt a strong sense of duty to figure out what sparked Hyunjin's sudden desire to work himself to the ground. He wanted to stop the self-destructive behavior in any way that he could. The question was how would he go about it.
