Meet Lauren Stark

I pulled my hoodie up over my head trying to stay unnoticed in the crowd; I’d gotten quite good at sneaking around the city in the past couple years. As I neared the corner I ducked into the lobby and walked with my head down towards the counter. I slapped my money down.
“The usual,” I said.
“Back so soon?” Cameron asked.
“Just give me the goods.”
“Alright.” He slid a bag of gummy worms and a crunch bar across the counter. “Your dad got you in a tizzy?” He chuckled.
“You have no idea. He’s on my back more than ever right now.”
“Oh poor you. It must suck to live in your dad’s million dollar tower with the Avengers.”
I hit his arm playfully, “You know it’s more complicated than that. Is Natalie here?”
“She is! Your knight in shining armor is here to relieve you from duty Cameron.” Natalie laughed as she walked in from the back.
“Natalie!” I ran over and hugged her. “What’s up?”
“Well, actually, I have a boyfriend now…”
I looked back and forth between her and Cameron, “Finally! It sure took you two long enough!”
She looked puzzled. “I was trained by the world's best spy, remember? I notice things. Plus you two don’t stop staring at each other!”
She smiled and looked at him all melty. Cameron kissed her cheek and she giggled as he hopped over the counter. “Lez bounce Stark.”
“Shhhhhhh!” I said as we walked towards the theatre. It would be a mess if anyone ever recognized me in public.
“Yeah yeah, so what’s the great Tony Stark done to piss you off this time.”
“Well as you know I finally completed my training today-”
“And congrats to you.”
“Thanks. But he’s still not letting me go out into the field. Not even as an agent. And it’s like no matter how much I do to prove to him and no matter how good I get, he still always treats me like a child!”
“Unfortunately, I can’t relate to being the daughter of a billionaire superhero for obvious reasons. But I do know what it’s like to have parents. Mine are the same way. They still see me as their baby boy. All parents do it. They just love you and want to protect you.”
“Well I just wish they would show their love more conveniently,” I grumbled.
He laughed, “Sadly that’s not how it works.”
“So what movie are they streaming today?” I asked as we took our seats in the back of the movie theatre. It was pretty easy to go unnoticed here, especially since it was late at night and no one was ever in the theatre.
“Back to the future.” He said.
“Ah, an oldie!” I started coming to the movie theatre where Cameron and Natalie work about two years ago. My dad’s super protective of me so I was always homeschooled and never allowed to leave unless I had a bodyguard with me. I always felt cooped up but then one day I snuck out and ended up at the theatre. However, I had just gotten finished with a whole day of training and was exhausted so I fell asleep in the back. You can imagine Natalie's surprise when she found Lauren Stark taking a nap in the back of the movie theater. I had never really been good at interacting with people my age, considering that I finished high school when I was twelve and all, but Natalie and Cameron were nice and didn’t care that I was awkward. One thing led to another and I started sneaking out more frequently, and now they’re my best (and only) friends. Surprisingly, in two years i've never gotten caught. But really that’s my dad’s own fault since he had me trained by Natasia.
The movie and seeing my friends just melted away all my problems. I was really happy as I snuck back home that night. Sadly, that didn’t last long...
