Lost and Found {Toy Story x Reader}

1 - Unwanted Encounter

The car ride to the Pizza Planet restaurant was nothing but nauseating. The driver, if he should even be considered one, was extremely reckless, and there were points where you held onto Buzz for dear life because of the constant swerving, despite already being buckled in. Had it not been for the seatbelt, you'd have flown out the window by now.

After several sharp twists and turns, you all arrived at the diner. Your eyes were full of wonder as you observed how fascinating the place looked. Once the driver had pulled up into a parking spot and got out of the car, Buzz removed the seatbelt and climbed over to the window, peering out as he inspected the place.

He then hopped onto the top of the carseat, opening the sliding window of the cargo barrier. You jumped up and joined Buzz in his search for a certain cowboy, but you didn't see him anywhere.

"Sheriff!" Buzz called out, scanning the area for any sign of him.

From behind a fallen tool box revealed said toy, who appeared smushed and beaten up. He unstuck himself from the car wall and fell over into a pile of accumulated trash, and you cringed at the sight of the poor toy, imagining if it were you in his position. You would've gone to help him since it was a knee jerk reaction of yours to help people, but considering that you two weren't exactly on speaking terms, you refrained from it.

"There you are." Buzz grinned. "Now, the entrance is heavily guarded. We need a way to get inside."

Coughing, Woody sat up with his head inside of an empty cup, and he lifted it, taking a moment to compose himself. Buzz spotted the cup and an idea popped into his head. "Great idea, Woody. I like your thinkin'."

The three of you waited until the coast was clear and you exited the vehicle. Luckily, there was a garbage receptacle nearby which held a wide variety of disguises to choose from. Hiding in greasy burger boxes or sticky soda cups wasn't ideal, but it worked nonetheless. You and Buzz disguised yourselves in empty burger boxes while Woody stuck with his cup.

You and Buzz peered through the slight gap of your burger boxes, waiting for someone to enter to trigger the doors. Fortunately, you didn't have to wait too long. As soon as some people walked through the entrance, you all made a run for it.

"You are clear to enter. Welcome to Pizza Planet." The automated voice of the robot boomed.

"Now!" Buzz whispered, notifying Woody who couldn't see a thing in his soda cup disguise. "Quickly, gang! The air lock is closing."

You managed to make it through the doors in time, but the quick sprint came to an abrupt stop when a group of children ran by. Buzz listened for the sound of their disappearing chatter and footsteps, and when none were heard, he jumped back up and resumed his running.

Woody grunted when Buzz accidentally ran into him. "Ow! Watch where you're going!" He growled, pointing at him threateningly with the straw. The space ranger muttered a quick sorry in return.

The three of you continued with your risky dash through the restaurant, scurrying over to the arcade area. There was a perfect spot to hide between the crevice of some arcade cabinets and that's exactly where you all headed. Following right behind the sheriff, he led the dangerous expedition to the desired spot, accidentally running into the arcade cabinet and then through the gap.

Ditching your costumes, you took a breather from the constant running. You took in a whiff of the fresh air that didn't consist of oiliness, but your face then contorted into a sneeze when you inhaled some of the dust particles from the unsanitary environment.

You rubbed your nose, watching Buzz walk over to the opening of the gap to admire the view of the space designed arcade play area. His eyes lit up at the wondrous sight.
