Oneshot based on Emma's Spring Demon and Norton's Wanderer.

Emma's POV

It's 7:00 pm. The sun is setting, and there's a beautiful mix of orange and pink painting the sky. Scattered clouds add texture to the beautiful canvas, and the woods behind the manor has the perfect vantage point to observe the sunset.

Why am I in the woods at this time of night, you might wonder? Well, I actually came here on my own accord, due to a bet I made.

With Norton Campbell.

Let me explain.

Earlier this afternoon, during today's match, things weren't going too well for Norton. The Wu Chang was in a terrible mood (Lord only knows why), and he showed no mercy in his attacks. Norton, unfortunately, suffered the consequences of the Wu Chang's sour attitude and was chaired after the last cipher was finished and the alarms blared overhead.

Being the saint I am, I ran to his aid and, miraculously, managed to free him, distracting the Wu Chang long enough for Norton to escape through the exit gates. Due to my amazing kiting skills, the Wu Chang eventually gave up on pursuing me and surrendered, giving us the win.

Later, I found Norton in the hospital wing being patched up by Emily. With a skip in my step and a glimmer in my eye, I smirked at him and gently teased him for being saved by me, the better kiter.

Norton raised an eyebrow at me, obviously not enjoying my bragging attitude. Did I care? Not in the slightest. It gives me a cheap thrill to push his buttons. I never push him too far, however. That just wouldn't be nice. But what's the harm in a little childish teasing?

That's when Norton told me to meet him in the woods tonight at 7:00, so we could settle this "fair and square." I have no idea what he meant by "settling things," but I'm excited to find out. Norton has always had a devilish charm towards him, and I've always found this trait of his very attractive. Whatever he has planned, I look forward to it immensely.

It's now 7:05, and I'm growing more impatient by the second. To distract myself from my eagerness, I crouch to the ground and admire the small dandelions growing in patches. Even though dandelions are considered weeds and are a danger around other plants, I still have a deep admiration for them. When they first sprout from the dead winter ground, they signify that the spring season is approaching. Little children especially love dandelions, picking them happily and inhaling their sweet scent. I love how they continue to bring joy and happiness even as they die. Their petals wilt into little balls of fuzziness that carry wishes for anyone who blows on it.

In a way, dandelions remind me of Norton.

The other survivors are a bit weary of Norton's presence. Because of his mysterious demeanor and silence, the others don't really see eye-to-eye with him. I've never let his lone-wolf vibes push me away, however, because I've believed from the start that he's a good person. Like a dandelion, Norton has many positive traits and a sweet personality hidden under his dangerous facade.
