Book Summary.
The subway of Seoul is rumored to be haunted due to the number of dead bodies found each month. Citizens are said to witness a dark shadow every other night, always a night before another corpse is found, body without the protection of clothes, drained out of blood and brutally nailed onto the wall. There is always a message written on the top, screaming the sins the victim must have done during their life. The list wasn't very long but only a significant sin, written in crimson paint, that would have insects on it by the day light.
People were afraid - no that would be an understatement, people were horrified to death and back. The way corpses kept showing on each month became more worry some. It felt like a very dirty game that was being played with everyone watching it. It felt more like being trapped into a game that worked only to traumatized them. Once each month the body did show up and then the entire month was taken to recover from the trauma before getting some more of it.
Amidst of the horror-driven human beings was someone who believed otherwise. Someone who didn't believe the theories people were making up, scaring themselves even more. Someone who sensed another motive behind the assassination. Someone who managed to go further ahead than the police could possibly even think of.
