Jan scrolled through Jasmin's texts with David. He saw just random things, like what kind of music she listens to, and what tv shows she watched. That included: The Neighbourhood, My Chemical Romance, Panic! At The Disco, Arctic Monkeys, The 1975, and so much more. She watched American Horror Story. Jan was sure he would need this info sometime in the future. He checked the clock. 01:47. Jan had school the next day, and quickly shut his laptop and slept.
In school, Jan was assigned to sit next to Jasmin to do a math assignment. They barely talked, just silent nods when they got the answer, quick looks at each others papers, and stolen glances. David was accross the room assigned to work with Nick, the most popular but also most feared boy in Jan's grade. Jan could see David glancing up in annoyance, seeing Jazz and Jan, and when he met Jan's eye, quickly looked back down.
"You aren't doing any work you asshole!" a sharp voice rang accross the room. It was Nick yelling to David. David was looking at Jazz. Nick followed David's gaze. "Ohhhh. You're looking at Jazz. You're EX- girlfriend." Nick made sure to emphasize 'EX'. "You're soo jealous you're not the one sitting with her, and Jan is sitting with her and probably making her like Jan more than you. Isn't that right Jazz?" Jazz glared at Nick, then made eye contact with Jan and shook her head. "Jazz would be better with Jan than with you--" Nick started, then the whole class became quiet as the math teacher, Mr. Rippon came in.
The only thing that could be heard now was the soft murmur of music playing from the headphones of the people who had finished working on their classwork.
