📍magi cafeJIE LI LIANG sat quietly, staring at his lap while bang pd's eyes stared directly at him. 'he's a big ceo in korea, what the fuck is he doing out here in shanghai?!'
jie thought to himself, his heart began to beat faster than it already was. he turned to the side and noticed a couple of classmates from school were staring at both of them. probably wondering why a big ceo is talking to someone who could barely afford food.
he swore, he was just trying to eat a sweet chocolate piece of cake when suddenly bang pd swooped the chair in front of him. so that's where they were now.
"you're liang li jie, right?" he looked back at him surprised. 'he knows mandarin?' "ye-yes! im jie li." he bowed down respectfully. a small smile went onto the ceo's face, "good,"
"i travelled all the way to china to ask you to be under my company." jie looked at him confused, 'im being scouted?' jie shook his head before speaking. "im sorry but i'm looking to becoming a idol!"
"ah, i see." now it was bang pd's turn to turn around, a bunch of school kids were still whispering stuff to each other. "how is school?" though, he already knew everything he needed to know about jie li liang.
jie li liang wasn't the best at school, barely had friends, possibly bullied, came from a poor family, two sibings yada yada yada.
that didn't matter to him. every entertainment company wanted him. to sm, jyp, yg, cube, pledis; you name it. jie was simply crazy talented.
at company discussions all powerful entertainment ceo's talked together and talked about trainees and their potential. and jie li liang would always be brought up. from his voice to dancing to his visuals.
"school is great.." jie had a awkward smile on his face. jie knew he didn't come all the way from korea to ask him how he's doing.
jie always got phone calls from company's, he would always reject but he didn't expect someone to go this big. "listen jie li.. you have so much potential. if you join my company i'll make sure you'll get known."
"you want me to be a trainee for your company?" jie raised a brow, gaining a bit of confidence. "im sorry, but no thank you. i don't have money to pay off for all the vocal training and dance classes.."
"plus im almost out of high school, i don't want to be stuck being a trainee for two, three years.. and what if i never end up making it in a group.. it's a wast of time."
jie was getting up from his seat, got his backpack and pastry treat on one hand. "have a good day sir." he bowed once again.
pd couldn't just let him leave like that, such crazy talent going to waste. he didn't expect to be rejected coming all the way here. pd had to think fast before jie left the bakery. when a crazy idea popped into his head.
"then i'll just had to add you into one of our groups." jie turned around, who was already starting to walk out. "excuse me?" jie looked dumbfounded.
"do you perhaps know.. tomorrow by tomorrow?" of course he knew that group. roller coaster and nap of the start were on his playlist. "yes, why?"
"be under my company and i'll make you a member of txt." it sounded so crazy coming out of his mouth. "i dont know-" jie looked a bit unsure.
"liang, your father works at three different jobs, your mother is sick. y'all barely have any money, don't you want your parents to make meets end?" jies heart beat began to pump harder. 'how does he know all this?'
"how do you-" jie got cut short again. "i'll give you a week to think about it." pd handed him a small white card, which was his personal number. "i really want you to think about this, think what would be good for your parents."
and so he got up from his seat and walked out the cafe. hoping he would get a phone call from the young boy.
in the end it just left jie scared, and bang pd is still money hungry.
