It was so unsettling being in the same room as Amen, it was worse being in a room alone with him. She stood at the desk as he walked around and sat down behind it. He was so arrogant.

Everything about this man was just over the top. He never ever smiled, Tori didn't think he ever cracked a smile in his life.

He tapped his desk with his pen for a few seconds before he spoke to her. "Do not leave again." He said shocking her. Tori had no idea where this came from. "Joseph was very upset."

"I... There are times where I need to leave. I mean... I am more than happy to take him with me... I have no issue with that."

"He will not leave the house without me."

"I... What can I do then? I mean... I have things I need to see to."

"If you want to leave, then stay away. Do not think to return." What? This wasn't fair.

"You can't do that..." She was not sure who this man thought he was.

"Watch me."

"Then let me take him with me."

"No." This was not up for discussion. He said his piece.

"You can't bark orders out... I have things to do..."

"Joseph should be your only priority."

Was he serious? She needed to pay her rent. She needed to ask her landlord for an extension... No idea how she was going to pay the rent, she wasn't even working.

"He is my only priority, but..."

"This conversation is over." He said totally dismissing her. Tori was so angry. Who the hell did this guy think he was?

She left the office before she said something she was going to regret. There had to be another way... She was going to find a way to get Joseph away from them. He was a child... A child in a prison.

It didn't matter that he had everything in the world, the child was unhappy. He had no friends to play with, he needed a life outside of these walls.

Tori was furious. She would find a way around this.

"Barb... Does Joseph ever leave this house?" She asked Barbara one morning as she was preparing Joseph's meals for the day.

"Occasionally Mr Ramsgate takes him out."

"To a park?"

"I think to his work." Oh... Right... To a building with more offices and no kids. Nice.

"Does Joseph ever have friends over?"

"No." Barbara shook her head.

"Oh..." Tori was going to change that. This kid needed to live... To have a childhood. Maybe she might be able to reason with the big oaf who never smiled. Amen was one intimidating man that was for sure.

It didn't matter how distinguished he was. He was a hard core thug under his suit. He wore a scowl on his face. His face with the always perfectly trimmed beard. He was one good looking man that was for sure.

He looked dangerous... Danger was in everything he did.

Tori was no fool, her father had told her many times how very dangerous the Ramsgate's were. When Evelyn left to be with Felix, it almost killed her father. He told her stories about them... How they took over towns and forced the biggest companies to sell their businesses to them... Wasn't up for negotiating... They wanted they took... Hence why they were so wealthy...
