Lilith's POV:
Everyone fell silent as the first years walked into the Great Hall and everyones eyes fell upon them. They all looked scared out of their minds as so many people stared at them, I remember feeling like myself. I saw Faith and gave her a warm smile and she returned it and when she continued to look around the room, her eyes fell on another group. So I looked over to where she was looking, and she was looking at the Marauders, as Seb was sat with them most likely. She then looked over to the Hufflepuff table to see Ashley smiling at her, then at the Slytherin table to see Benji and finally, her eyes just scanned over the Ravenclaw table, where she knew Logan used to sit. The nervous first years waited at the front of the Great Hall as Professor McGonnagal put the Sorting Hat on the stool and it began to sing its yearly song, I always enjoyed listening to these, as it was interesting to see what each years song would be. When the hat finished its song, the whole room burst into applause which then quietened down when Professor McGonnagal pulled out her scroll and began to list off the first years names. Finally, she got to "Grey, Faith". I waited intensely as I looked down the table to see Sebastian looking at me as well, probably also wondering what house she'd be put in. After about thirty seconds, the het yelled out, "GRYFFINDOR!" She ran over to sit on my left and then me and the rest of the girls watched the rest of the Sorting together. After Dumbledore had finished his speech and the food appeared, you felt people walking up behind you. Then, Sebastian sat down on Faith's left and gave her a hug, whilst, surprisingly, Remus sat down on my right.
"Well done on getting Gryffindor Faith!" Was the first thing that Seb said, making me smile.
"So what made you come and sit with us over here and leave the rest of the Marauders over there?" I asked Remus as I put some steak on my plate.
"I needed to sit with someone with common sense before Prongs, Padfoot and Wormtail make me lose anymore brain cells and we're both the prefects that have to lead the first years to Gryffindor Tower, so I thought it might be easier than us having to try to find each other at the end of the feast." He explained before taking a bite of his pasta.
"Makes sense," I said, with a smile when he mentioned the part about loosing brain cells.
"Also, Seb said he was gonna leave me on my own and I don't want to be left alone with the three idiots," He said, whilst laughing slightly.
"Are you and Seb close then 'cause he only allows certain people to call him Seb?" I asked.
"Yeah, I think I'm the closest to Seb out of all of the Marauders as we talk the most."
"I can see that, he talks about you a lot,"
"Really?"
"Yeah, says you've got a 'furry little problem' and I don't know what it is, but it sounds annoying 'cause its a problem."
"Real annoying," He said. Then the end of the feast came all too quickly and I found I enjoyed spending time with Remus, which kind of made me glad we were doing most of our prefect duties together because I most likely knew him better than anyone."C'mon, we've gotta get up to the common room, classes start tomorrow," I said, after gathering the first years up.
"I"m Remus Lupin and this is Lilith Grey, we're 5th year Gryffindors, you can come to us for anything, so now let's head to the common room." Remus said, assuring the students with a comforting smile. We then walked to the common room and I told the first years what the password was and sent them up to the correct dorms, then I sat on the sofa, pulling of my cloak and tie.
"Tired?" Remus said, sitting down next to me and pulling off his own cloak and tie.
"Mhm..." I said, looking into the fire, the flames not dying, I felt myself grow even more tired overtime and began to fall asleep.Remus's POV
I looked to Lilith after about twenty minutes of reading a book that I got from the bookshelf, to find that she was asleep. So I put my book down, and grabbed her cloak, making sure her wand and tie were tucked into one of the pockets, I quickly wrote a note, letting her know that I'd took her back to her dorm after she'd fell asleep. I went to the bottom of the girls staircase and called for Lily. She came out in her pyjamas (just a t-shirt and shorts) and looked at me.
"What do you want Lupin, I want to sleep," She said, glaring at me.
"I need to bring Lilith up since she fell asleep on the sofa, but I can't get up the staircase, so I need you to stand on the stairs whilst I bring her up and I need to bring her cloak, tie and wand up too," I explained, as she walked down the stairs and took the cloak from me.
"This has got her wand and tie in it, right?" She asked as she quickly ran up the stairs to put them somewhere.
"Yeah," I replied as I walked to pick Lilith up, surprisingly she didn't wake up, she just leaned further into me.
"Remus, why are you carrying my sister?" Sebastian said, standing at the top of the boys staircase.
"She fell asleep on the sofa and I'm taking her back to her dorm, then I'm coming up to go to bed," I explained.
"Okay, I'll wait for you, Padfoot, Prongs and Wormtail have already fell asleep."
"Hurry up Lupin, I wanna go to bed," Lily said, standing on the stairs for me.
"Alright I'm coming, I'm coming," I said as I walked slowly up the stairs so I didn't wake her, I put her on her bed and left.
