Chapter 4

Quin's Prov.

The next morning I woke up and got a pill and a glass of water for the three. I knew they would all have a hangover after last night. I made breakfast but felt Damian wake up, I quickly ran to his room after turning the stove off. I walked into his room and I heard him in the bathroom. I walked into the bathroom, crouched down beside him, and rubbed his back as he threw up. I handed him the pill and water and laid him back down into the bed.

Amber walked into the kitchen a minute after I did and sat down. "I'm glad you're awake. People have been going missing near a lake in Alabama. I need you to stay and watch the boys for me. Will and Nico are coming over shortly to help look after you guys while I'm gone. I don't know when I'll be back and I didn't want you alone after what happened last night."

"Be safe beauty,"

"I will flee bag," I retorted. The doorbell rang, I went and opened the door to see Will with a sleeping Nico. "Come on in," I said stepping to the side. "I'm finishing cooking breakfast then I'll be on my way. The boys are sleeping, Damian has been given a pain killer a few minutes ago." Will nodded as he laid Nico on the couch. "You can put him in one of the guest room, it will be a lot more comfortable than a couch."

"No, it's fine. He should wake up soon though," Will said and I nodded as the food finished. I put the food in the oven to keep them warm until they were ready to eat. I grabbed a spear blanket and laid it over Nico's sleeping form. 

"I'll be back as soon as I can. Please no parties," I said and left through a portal to Alabama.

On the other side of the portal, there was a big area of swamp. Not going to lie it looked pretty here. If I was the water or earth element this would be a great home. I started walking, I felt like I was being watched as I walked along the muddy ground. I wanted to find out what was happening here before anyone got hurt. The people that went missing always turned up a few days later but were scared and refused to come back here or even talk about what happened. I've been here all day and nothing happened and I didn't feel anything out of the ordinary.

It was starting to get dark out so I sat down against a weeping willow tree and looked into the water. I must have fallen asleep because I woke up and heard singing. It was beautiful, I stood up and started walking to the sound. I saw a horse but it had red eyes and looked like it was made out of water. The creature looked at me and started walking up to me. I stood my ground, this is a kelpie or a water horse. I was scared of the beast by just looking into its eyes.

It was right in front of my face and let out a big huff. I wanted to run but my feet wouldn't let me. I stood there face to face with the human eating horse. The kelpie rilled up and smacked my chest and I went flying into a tree. I let my ear and tail be visible in hopes that the horse wouldn't hurt me any more than it did. The kelpie walked up to me and grabbed my foot and dragged me into the water and tried to down me. I fought back but it was no use and I ran out of oxygen and passed out.

3rd Person Prov. with the Elements at home on Sunday night

Quin still wasn't back and everyone was starting to worry. The seven and Cal came over to the house. They all tried to call their friend but no call went through, texts were not received nor opened, and everyone was worried because he went alone and no one knew where he was exactly. They knew he was at a lake in Alabama, but not which one. 

Annabeth was looking for the lake on the internet, Amber was cussing at the two elemental boys while they cried in a corner, Will and Nico were trying to calm the three elements down, Percy was flipping through channels trying to help Annabeth but wasn't which got him yelled at and he was now with the two boys, Jason and Piper were in the kitchen cooking dinner for everyone, Leo and Frank were looking for any signs of where he went in his bedroom, Hazel and Cal were helping Annabeth and everyone that needed help.
