Higher Ground

My PRINCE?!

"Weren't you informed? your wedding is today your highness." Wendy spoke as she got a bit surprised at my high tone. I then remembered. "Ah, Prince Ujeene from the Harvus Kingdom yes?" i question her to which she answered with a nod. She took my arm and basically dragged me to the main part of the castle, where ceremonies or celebrations were usually made. My father and King Harvus were talking whilst my so to speak 'prince' was checking himself out in a mirror he was holding.

He then turned to me and granted me a dumb smile. He tossed the mirror which hit Whiskers the cat. "My dearest Princess Kledina!" he said with a uncomfortably wide smile, i didn't want to make any conflict so i gave him a smile back but it was less forced. at least it looked that way. " Greetings, Prince Ujeen." i said in my most stern yet inviting tone.

"My My! You look quite ravishing today my soon to be Queen~" Ujeen said with a bit of a flirtatious tone. To which i replied with an awkward little laugh. "Your kind words are certainly appreciated Prince Ujeen." I spoke like a proper royal, to which i don't wanna be after I get out of this place.

The kings took notice of the two and my Father (King Huttrüd) walked over to the side as he eyed Mary "Goodness! Mary! The bride and groom aren't supposed to see eachother just yet!" He basically scolds to Lady Mary whom stood there with a humiliated face.

"Your Majesty! I do apologize, one of the fellow guards said that everything was ready!" Mary spoke in a apologetic and low tone. Fathers face looked less surprised and more irritated. "I am assuming it was Greg who said that to you yes?" He asks her.

Mary gives him a simple nod to which he facepalms. He then turns his attention to me and "Kledina my sweet angel, do you wanna see a man get executed?" He asked me, to which my eyes widened and was a bit freaked out when he asked such. "Father! So many people are dying already to the flood! It's not worth it!" I said with surprise.

Fathers face had a hint of sadness till King Harvus placed a hand on his shoulder sympathetically. "If you have to bring your entire Kingdom to ours, we have no problem with that." Harvus spoke in a deep yet caring tone. Father shook his head frantically. "I would rather risk the town being flooded than that!" he spoke in a shaky tone.  He then sighed, "Since the soon to be married couple is here, they can help with the decor for the ceremony" Harvus said as i sighed, this was gonna be a long day.
