Chapter five- Dinner and a chat?

(WARNING: there will be meantions of cannibalism and cursing)

Y/n's POV-
I sat at the table, looking down as i fiddled with my thumbs. The hoyt guy wouldn't stop giving me these glares as he sat there which made me even more nervous than i already was. I just wanted this day to be over. Things have already went from bad to worse. How much worse could it get..?

Thats when anne walked out with bubba who carried some plates and silverware. They set the cutlery and plates down on the table, they had tied me down to my chair by my hips since anne didn't trust me to not run away. Bubba stares at me for a few minutes then walks away where anne walked. Hout then said "So girl, what'd ya do to charm the dumbass?". I looked at him confused at what he meant and went to answer but anne walked inside before i could. "Oh hoyt, don't bother the girl..!" "Well the
Dumbass doesn't ever wanna keep food! So i wanna know what she did! Did ya bribe him with something girly?!". By then bubba looked pissed off at hoyt. Bubba storms over as he glares at him and grumbles something as he does. I stay quiet, too scared to say anything. Bubba then sits down in front of me as anne walks out with food. She sets it down as she smiles. "I know it ain't much and all but things round here have been slow. Hahah! I hope ya like corn!" She smiles as she says this, i just nod as i smile nervously. She starts to dish out food as she smiles, hoyt still glaring at me.

After she finished dishing out food she sat down and they started eating. I stared at my food for a minute before looking up to see bubba staring at me. After a few minutes of us staring at each other i look down and start to eat, my hands trembling slightly as i do. " You look nervous, are ya okay..?" I looked in the direction of the voice to see it was anne, " O-Oh yes im okay! J-Just a bit nervous i guess..?". She laughs lightly as she smiles " Ahh, okay. I understand..! ". I then look back at my food and keep eating.

~tiny timeskip~
After dinner i was taken up to a room, which i guess to be bubba's since he took me. He sets me down on the bed and grabs a white board and marker that i recognized as my sisters and starts to write. I sit silently for almost two minutes before he shows me what he wrote. "Im bubba" was all it said. I look up at him to see he had sat down so i could see his face. "Th-Thats a nice name". He smiles at this and quickly starts to write again. 'He seems so shy.. its kinda cute... wait cute?! I did not just think that did i?!'. I was so lost in thought that i didn't even realize him waving his hand in front of my face. When i do he looked a bit worried as he held up the whiteboard. "Are you okay.?" I nod and smile at him "I-Im okay!! Im just fine hahahah!!". He looks at me confused then shakes his head and starts to write again before showing me. "You look tired" i look at him and nod a little as i yawn, he has me lay down on the bed and covers me up then walks out. After a few hours i fall asleep.
