I stood there, waiting.
Finally, his lips touched mine. It was so soft and light, like candy floss - except the fact that candy floss is much more stickier and his lips are not sticky at all, it was so smooth.
I leaned in a little closer, and he wrapped his arms around me a bit more tightly, one of his arms slowly snaking up my back to keep my balance.
At least he knew what to do. My hands were just hanging limply by my sides, having no clue where it should really go.
It's weird and untrue how authors of books made their characters capable of perfect control in their kiss, while I just let James do whatever he wanted.
Because one, I think we were smooching - is that what they call it? Yeah. Smooching. Wait, does that word even exist? Of course it does! Focus Alexis! - and I never smooched a guy before. It went as far as a peck on the lips. (Actually there's a guy who attempted to go further than that, but my dad appeared at just the right time.)
Two, it felt good, whatever James was doing, because we somehow managed to synchronize our... kissing.
Wait a moment. Oh my gods, I am kissing James Harris.
I decided to slowly creep my hands up his shoulders.
My hands slowly trailed from his neck to his chest, and slowly went down until his abdomen. I bet he has a six pack. I wonder when can I see him in a swim suit. Or... naked.
Bad Alexis.
After a while, we stopped reluctantly. He glanced into my eyes and I blushed and looked away, both of us catching our breaths.
"So do I drive you back to Frayer's?" James finally asked after a period of silence.
I said, still blushing, "Yeah, if it's not a bother to you at all."
Idiot. If he isn't taking you back home then how are you suppose to go back home? Walk?
"No, not a bother at all. Anything for you." He opened the car door for me. "May we?"
I giggled. "Thanks," I said and slipped into the car not-so-gracefully.
Once we were in the car, I put my hand in between us, hoping he would take the hint.
You know, hold my hand and stuff. Unfortunately, the old school trick was not working and he took no notice. Probably because he was busy driving.
But on the bright side, once we were outside Frayer's mansion by the gate, we said our goodbyes and kissed again, making me fangirl in the insides hardcore style.
I'm out of my mind, this is the third time I met him and I'm kissing him?
Totally no rush there, Alexis.
But I can't help it, his lips were so begging and full... so I let my guts take me to the next step.
Apparently, my guts are sluts.
But need I remind you, he totally perved over me the first time we met. So I guess we're equal.
"See you next time then?" he suggested with an eager smile.
"Yeah, sure."
"Cool." James left with a kiss on my cheek.
I stood there watching him walk back to his car, get in it, and drive away. I couldn't help but smile.
Today was definitely worth smiling for. Oh my gods, all those precious memories of my first smooch and first date with James.
And my recalling moment was ruined when Frayer popped up behind me asking, "So... how did it goooo?"
