Whispers of gossip filled the halls of Hogwarts. And it was all about Rory. Somehow, news broke that she was adopted.

"Who is that?"
"Aurora Vance."
"Come on, she's not even a Vance."
"What do you mean?" A group of girls whispered.

"Didn't you hear? She's a gross little muggleborn." One of them insulted, saying it loud and clear, not even bothering to whisper.

Hearing this, Fred, Daphne, and Theo turned around to find the source of the horrible insult. To nobody's surprise, there stood a brunette Slytherin girl with her bottom lip dropped. She stood in the middle of the lot of girls, indicating leadership. Around her shoulders, a strong, pale arm belonging to a blonde boy.

Draco.

He stood there with a smirk of mockery painted across his face, looking at Rory like she was so much less than the girl he used to know, as if her blood status had changed everything about her-about them.

"What the fuck did you just say?" Fred questioned, looking down at the girl who was much shorter than him.

"I thought you heard me. Do I have to say it again?" She asked, putting on an act. "She's a little mudblood."

"You need to learn how to keep your fucking mouth shut, Astoria!" Theo growled, walking closer to her.

"Cute, the mudblood needs her friends to defend her." She giggled and so did her lot of friends.

"Langlock!" Rory shouted, pointing her wand towards Astoria, casting the hex onto her. Her brown eyes widened as he tongue stuck to the roof of her mouth, making her silent.

"If you can't keep your fucking mouth shut, I'll make you keep your fucking mouth shut." Rory hissed, coming closer to her by the second. "Even with my blood status changing, you know damn well who I am, and that's not changing."

"And you-" Rory scoffed, looking up into Draco's grey eyes. "Can't say it's a massive shock." She said, walking away from the chaos before she could break down.
