Reaching the waiting room, we chose our spacesuits. Jax chose the yellow one while I chose the cyan one. Putting them on, we went into the lobby. 

I counted the rest of my crew. Ten people in total including us. Tbh I really hate the lobbies. You keep waiting for your crewmembers to join and sometimes if they don't join, the mission gets cancelled.

 Anyways, I looked around and here's what I saw: a guy in a black suit with a hat on top of his head. Uh-oh. From the way he was eyeing all of us, I could tell he was the crime detective. Ever since last month, murders had been happening. So, the HQ officials always included a crime detective in every crew. A crime detective basically has the powers to order everyone around if something goes wrong. They usually spend most of their time in security. 

There were guys in lime and green suits who were crazily running around in circles, a girl in a pink suit who was busy choosing an accessory and a few other people. 

I had heard from HQ officials to be on the lookout for suspicious people since the crime had increased a lot. There was only one guy, dressed in purple who looked shady. Don't get me wrong, I am not the type of person who thinks a person is sus because of their colour. It's just that he kept eyeing all of us in a superior way like we were lamb chops. I was shaken out of my thoughts as a guy in a white suit approached me.

'Hello, I'm Minx. How are you?', the white guy said.

'Hi, I'm Ace. I am doing great.'

'I am glad to hear that. Do you want to stay together in the spacecraft? You know, like a buddy system for safety? I heard there is a lot of crime going around.'

I was about to answer him when I heard someone cough behind me. Jax. While I liked to do buddy systems since it was a common and safe practice, Jax hated them, He said that what if your buddy's the impostor. Anyways first I had to deal with him.

I excused myself and said to Jax, 'What?'

'What do you mean what? We decided not to do any buddy systems.'

'Please, you saw the crime rate chart. We might end up getting killed or ejected if we don't stay with a group.'

'Fine.'

I turned back to Minx. He was smiling at me, his eyebrows raised quizzically.

I said, 'We're in! But you have to promise to side with us always.'

'Cool. What is your speciality?' He said, changing the topic.

'I am a biochemistry specialist.'

'I am the med bay assistant. The Med bay is really scary. On my spacecraft Skeld-09, 3 murders happened on the med bay.'

'OMG! So, you're a survivor too?'

I saw his smile falter a bit and his eyes darken as he said yes. Boy, he must be upset. I took little notice of it at that time since suddenly the screen in front of us lit up. It was a call from MIRA-HQ. We all crowded together in front of it.

'Personnel from Skeld-07, I need to inform you to be careful of your surroundings on this spacecraft.'

Oh no. Everyone knew where this was going. We all shared suspicious glances towards each other as the head said, 'There are two imposters among you.'
