Alaena's POV
the meeting with minji ended in a blink of an eye. I felt pretty tired yet I'm still grieving, so I headed over to my room and sprung my body on the soft mattress that I own, but I quickly sat up due to the beating of my heart, i started to think about the Coronation. My eyes lingered towards my dress that was hanging nicely on the shelf.
To stop my heart from beating any faster, I decided to rehearse the words that I'll be saying to my fellow Aurora's. Just as I was finishing my speech, I heard a loud thud and a small "ow!!" coming from outside..
It can't be my parents because they left 30 minutes ago for a sudden duty from the king and queen.
I felt frightened for a minute, but i swiftly grabbed my bow and arrow as my eyes started to glow with lightning that extracted on to my arrow too. I started to aim while slowly making my way towards the balcony.
My eyes widened at the sight of the pair of burnt black and red-ish wings with hints of fire in front of me. I was frightened, just as my wings were ready to come out, those pair of wings turned around, and it wasn't what I thought it would be.
It was a boy who's around my age, he had dark brown hair that shockingly looked dashing even after he fell. I'm guessing he's a fire angel? im not quite sure.
I don't think I've met him before. When he turned to look at me, his face painted a horrified yet relieved look. "hey..........?" his voice souding raspy awkwardly greeting me, "what on plethora are you doing here?!! How did you get here mr??" I exclaimed loudly pointing my arrow right at his chest.
"what on ple- what? ouch! Where's kai??" he said while rubbing his shoulders clearly ignoring my question. "if you don't explain right now, this arrow will shoot right at your chest" I said trying to sound intimidating. "wait! I don't know where I am" the boy says as he raises his hands up in defeat. "that's ridiculous. now explain!".
Suddenly a creature that is known as a Cerberus came up to him and started to show signs of affection. that creature is known to be deadly and aggressive, and frankly its quite rare.
He seemed terrified which made me think that he's new, i guess he really isn't from here.
"Don't worry, that is your destined pet. Every Plethorians earns one as soon as they step into Plethora" I spoke unsurely not knowing if i could trust him or not, he let out a soft "oh" and started petting it with a soft smile on his face before I asked him the question I've been wondering. "now explain".
He sighs and walks over to the railings of my balcony. "I was passing Scintilla with my friend Kai and when we were about to fly I struggled with my wings and tumbled down here" he said. "so where's that friend of yours?" I asked curiously.
"obviously I don't know" he answers while looking around. I must say, I'm very confused.
So I asked "are you new here?" just to make sure. "do you think I'm new??" he asked back with some type of attitude. boy I might actually shoot you with my arrow this time. I scoffed and lowered down my bow and arrow
"why did you come to Plethora at this age?" I asked again still curious. "it's none of your business" he said coldly.
I looked at him in disbelief. what is wrong with this boy? he's seriously wasting my time, i was just about to leave him.
but as soon as I was walking towards my balcony door, suddenly my other door opened and I saw Rose walking inside my room "Alaen- Oh my Alaena why do you have a boy out there?!" she asked while rushing to us.
