*Evander POV*
I watched the sleeping angel that was currently laying in the bed before me. His long lashes rested above his pale cheeks and his plump lips were set in a slight pout, looking absolutely kissable. I brushed a few long stray hairs out of his face and admired the beauty that was Ashton Armani.
After he had fainted earlier, I carried him bridal style to the nurse's office. My wolf was panicking so much and honestly, I was too. All I could think about at that moment was making sure my mate was safe. I just found him and I couldn't lose him now. Though I can't deny that the feeling of having him in my arms did soothe some of my worries
Before I could get too deep in my trance of worrisome thoughts, Ashton's eyes started to flutter open. He lifted his head and I would be lying to say he didn't look adorable. His dazed features contorted to one of confusion and then embarrassment once those lavender grey orbs landed on me.
"Good morning, sunshine," I smirked. I couldn't help teasing him when he looked so damn...teasable. That's not even an actual word but it somehow fits him perfectly.
Ashton shot up in the bed and looked around the room frantically. "Where the hell am I? Did you kidnap me? Why am I in a bed?"
Questions flowed from his lips one after the other. I stifled a laugh that was threatening to break free and shook my head.
"You should probably drink some water first, lavender," I said passing him a bottle of the clear liquid. "It'll help you feel better."
He took the water and looked at me suspiciously. I rolled my eyes. "Just drink the water."
He huffed and tilted his head back to chug half the bottle. I watched as a small trail of water spilled from the side of his mouth to run down his jaw. My wolf howled in excitement. How can someone be so sexy?
I was so caught up in admiring the beauty in front of me that I hadn't even realized he had put the bottle down and was staring at me expectantly.
"Ahem." I snapped out of it at the sound of Ashton clearing his throat. A light shade of pink tinged his cheeks as his fingers peeled at the plastic label around the bottle.
"Is there something wrong?" I asked.
"Uhm, sorry about earlier," he mumbled, "And thank you. I guess..."
I chuckled at the boy in front of me. "What happened to me being a jerk?"
His face flushed a darker shade of red and he looked away from me suddenly finding interest in the bedsheets that pooled around his thin waist. "You still are a jerk," he grumbled, though I could still hear the hurt in his voice.
"I'm sorry for being so mean, lavender. I just have a lot going on lately and took it out on you" I said with a softness to my voice. He looked back up to me and our eyes met. He searched my face before letting out a sigh and nodding, which I guess meant that I was forgiven. Oh, how hard he makes it for me to not push him down and mark him right here. But I won't do that to him. Not until he knows about what I am. What we are. Until that time comes, I'll have self-control.
"So," he stated, "What's been bothering you?"
'Oh don't worry about that. It's just some...family stuff, I guess you can say."
He tilted his head to the side and studied my features once more. His brows furrowed before he released another sigh and shook his head. "It's fine if you don't wanna talk about it. I'm here to listen when you do or whatever."
Why is he so damn adorable? I mean seriously, the way his hair framed his small oval face as he looked up at me through his lashes which protected those beautiful eyes was almost god-like. Not to mention those beautiful lips. I can still remember how soft they felt and how sweet they tasted when we kissed at the party.
I hadn't even realized I had moved closer to him to the point where I could feel the warm air that left his lips against my own. Before I could get any closer, the door swung open and the school nurse stood on the other side.
"Ahem." she learned her throat. " I'm sorry to interrupt you sweet little fantasy time but I need to ask Ashton some questions."
An angry blush spread across Ashton's face like wildfire and he lurched back to the far side of the bed.
"Pfft-" I barely held in a laugh that threatened to escape and Ashton glared at me.
"Shut up, you stupid jerk."
It took my ages to finish this chapter and it is short and pure Garbage... I was too lazy to rewrite the whole thing tho lmaooo
