Ten years later***

"Honey, Sara wants to know if you need anything from the grocery store." I asked Renee as I walked into her home office.

"There is a list on the fridge. Can you add milk and bagels to it?"

  "Anything else?"

"No, not right now. Anderson has a game tonight. Arianna has practice until four. Aiden and Allyson need to be picked up at three. That leaves me about twenty minutes to relax until eight o'clock."

I go and send Sara the list. Then went back into the office and pull Renee's chair out. Renee stood up and I pulled her into a bear hug. This is our life! Renee works from home and keeps our kid's schedule on track.

Anderson will be seventeen in a month. He plays football, basketball, baseball, and soccer. Arianna is nine and plays little league basketball and softball. Aiden and Allyson are six. They are more into toys than sports. They are all in private school.

Cara is dating Anderson's best friend, Kaden. She jokes that she and Anderson were almost kissing cousins.

Dad is often heard that he now has the family that he has always wanted. He is retiring next year, so Ashton will be taking over for him. I will take over for Sam the following year.

We are called in by the Harris County White Collar Crimes unit when we are needed. It usually turns into a conviction. Tanner is at our house quite often for dinner. He is all smiles when he sees how happy Renee is. He loves the children the most. I heard him tell Renee at our wedding that she picked a good man for a husband. I happen to agree with him.

Chelly and Tyson come with their kids, to visit at least twice a year. We visit them twice a year. Renee has even bought a house next door to them for us to stay in when we are there. They have three kids. Tyler is nine and looks just like his dad. Marissa is seven and looks like her mom. Trevor looks like both at four.

Life is wonderful! I thank God every day for guiding Renee to me. And at night, Renee calls me God.

Well that is that! I'm completely out of ideas for these two. I hope you have enjoyed the trip into the lives of the Harris family. I really liked writing these stories.
