"You always are doing this to me mother!" I flinched as I heard this, but continued to venture closer to the source, wanting to find out what the dispute was about. It was a voice of a young man, presumambly Dandy Mott, the son of the heiress of the Mott family fortune.

Every time I was in Jupiter Junction, I saw the Mott-brand frozen meals and vegetables. We never bought them- the store brand being a more appropriate fit for our budget- but I always saw them in the carts of other people. Thomas Mott had been the owner and CEO of the brand until about 20 years ago, when he commited suicide, hanging himself in one of the trees in the vast garden in front of me. I wonder which tree it was? Anyway, he left his fortune to his wife Gloria, who I assume will leave it to her only son. The two pretty much lived in seclusion, going out to attend some parties or whatnot, but not much else. It was more common to see Gloria however, than her son, who to me was pretty much a mystery.

I'm actually quite suprised that not many people know more about him, due to his currently loud volume. But this 'mystery' was a driving force that led me to venture closer and closer to the two. I found myself standing behind a large oak tree- possibly the one Mr. Mott died in. Gloria's quiet and calm responses were know audible, so I got a better understanding of what this whole arguement was about.

Apparently tonight, Dandy wanted to go see the premiere show of 'Singing in the Rain,' but that conflicted with an important dinner Gloria needed to attend, due to their aristocrat status. Gloria then promised Dandy that she'd buy out the entire show the next evening, so not only could he see it, but he wouldn't be annoyed by anyone else. When Dandy refused this offer, I couldn't help leting out a laugh. It would be a treat to see a movie on the last night it played in a packed theatre full of loud viewers, let alone have a private show. But the laugh was much louder than expected, and caught the attention of the two, who were standing maybe 20 feet away.

Both turned their heads in my direction.

"Who's there?" Gloria called. "I hope you know that trespassing is a crime, and we'll have the polic here in a few minutes."

At this, I began to sprint in the direction of the woods. My panic then increased as I heard approaching footsteps matching the rythm of mine. Please let me make it to the woods. Please, please, please. I had five more feet until the tree line, and that's when it happened. I felt a pair of arms wrap themselves around my chest, bringing me to a complete halt. I instinctively began to try to fight of the grip, but was interupted by a soothing voice.

"Don't be scared. My mother always overreacts to little things(How ironic), but you won't be in trouble, I'll make sure of that. What's your name?"

At this I finally built enough courage to look up and meet his gaze. "Judy, Judy Rowe."

I was astonished not only that such a rich little brat could be this athletic- I mean wasn't he locked up in his house all day?- but by how handsome he was. All my prior negative feelings towards him melted away momentarily as I was lost in his neatly combed dark brown hair, defined features, and calm blue eyes. It was funny how one's view of another person can change within seconds, based solely on their looks. Yet, I reluctantly didn't let him get me completely hypnotized, and I began to turn away, mumbling," I really should go now. Thank you for your kindness, sir."

As I began to take a few steps, my face lit up.

"No, don't go," he called,"You look quite tired and unnerved. Why don't you stay for tea. Dora can make you a nice, warm cup, and then you can go." He said this with a sweet smile as I turned around.

"Well o-okay, just for a bit, if it's not too much of a bother."

"Not at all," he said reassuringly. With that he placed his hands around my shoulder- giving me goosebumps and causing me to blush, hopefully inconspicuoslly- and called to his mom that I'd be staying as their guest for the afternoon.

Gloria then gazed at me, neither in a disapproving or approving way, just curiousity. She quickly replaced this expression with a smile, and cheerily chirped, "Very well Dandy. We shall all have some nice tea and cakes, and your friend(Which Dandy rather rudely interupted 'Judy'), oh well then Judy can then tell us all about herself. I'll notify Dora." And with that she turned away, and strutted to the back entrance to their colassal house. We also followed, Dandy keeping his arm around me thewhole time.

However, I still wouldn't let myself enjoy this moment 100 percent. In the back of my head a few questions were knawing at me. Who is Dora? Did I really touch a 'tree of death?' And, was this a mistake?
