"You will face many defeats in life, but never let yourself be defeated."

Sky gets knocked down off his feet and falls backward, dropping his sword. A steel sword pointing at his throat as a foot stepped on his chest.

"You're leaving yourself open, Sky, tighten your posture. It is better to defend yourselves than to attack. The more hurt you get, the less effective your attacks and the higher the chance of death," Jason corrected. Sky nods a bit, Jason lowering his sword, staring at the prince. He sighed and offered his hand which Sky took. Jason pulled the prince up to his feet. Sky picked up his sword. "You are making good progress, despite it being only about two or three days. I can tell you are trying."

Sky looks at Jason. "Well let's just say I have the right motivation," he said making Jason hesitate.

His eyes looked away from the prince. "Look, not everyone can be saved. Some people just die and there is nothing you can do about it. It is out of your hands--"

Sky stepped towards Jason. "I know that, but you aren't that. You're my friend, and I'm not letting you kill yourself just because you think the whole world is against you," he said.

Jason couldn't help but smile a bit at him. He was glad to know that someone cares...but he didn't know how to exactly react to it. Luckily he didn't since he heard the familiar voice of his favorite little princess. Jason turned halfway, seeing Samantha running towards them.

Sky looked at the little girl, confused. "Whose child is that?" he asked.

"That's Princess Samantha Hughes, the King's daughter. King Mitchell is very protective over that little girl," Jason said as he sheath his sword. He crouched down as Samantha ran up to him.

"Jason! You're here!" she said before she saw the bandage on his arm. She loses her smile. "You're hurt."

Jason shakes his head. "No, nothing like that. Just a cut is all. It's a little sore, but I'm fine. I promise," he said.

"Pinky promise?" she asked holding her pinky out to him.

Jason chuckled a bit and took her pinky with his. "I pinky promise," he said making Sky raise an eyebrow at the Ex-General. This was a side of Jason that was completely new to him. The general wasn't an emotional person...he doesn't seem happy. But when the little princess came, there was a light in his eyes that Sky never saw before. Sky smiled a bit. 'He must like kids...' he thought. Kyleigh came up behind Samantha.

Jason's eyes flickered up to her. "Hey, so how was Laenadur?" he asked as he stood up.

She shrugged her shoulders. "Could be better, could be worse. But who is this?" she asked pointing at Sky.

"This is Sky; he is a refugee from Estron. And Sky, this is Princess Kyleigh, King Mitchell's sister," Jason explained.

Sky looked at Jason, confused. 'If this woman is the King's sister...why did he lie?' Sky thought before looking at Kyleigh. "Is the King okay?" he asked.

Kyleigh smiled a bit and nodded. "He's getting there. Don't worry, my brother is a lot tougher than he looks," she said.
