I slumped as I walked through the busy hallway. My backpack was full of books and homework. My last period had finally just ended and I am currently trying to make my way out of this chaotic mess of people in the hallways.
Shoulders were roughly bumped into mines, a number of times I'm not able to count. I let out a shaky breath beginning to feel claustrophobic, glancing left and right for any sign of escape. My eyes stared at the small gap between the wall and lockers, small but enough for one person to get between.
I made my way towards that spot, although unable to arrive easily. I pushed through many people, nearly tripping as they rushed out. Is it like this every day? I sat in a position where I squatted. My leg's being the only thing holding my body up. My hands cupped my face as I rested my elbows on my knees.
I let out a sigh of relief while I watched the crowd of people getting smaller and smaller as everyone was leaving.
"What are you doing?" I turned to face the voice. I looked up to see Felix staring down at me with concern written all over his face. His hands were in his pocket, and his eyes didn't leave mine as he waited for my reply.
What would be a normal reply? I scratched my head while thinking about one. "Ah well, I'm waiting," I said truthfully, before turning back to watch if the crowds of people have calmed down.
"Waiting for what?" his tone was kind of impatient as if he was waiting for me. "I'm waiting for the crowding to go down," I explained, eyes not leaving the crowds of people. I heard him let out a sigh, something I realized he tends to do often.
"You're weird. Get up." I turned back to him and stared at him in disbelief, my eyes blinked not believing what I just heard. Felix out of all the people calling me weird? Yes, I might be overdramatically introverted, but is he really any different?
"What?" He reached his hand out for me to grab. "Come on, get up." I stared at his hand, with suspicion. What does he want from me? None of the less, I grabbed his hand pulling myself up, before quickly letting go of it.
"Let's go," he said as he began walking towards the way everyone else was. "Wait!" I stuttered and ran to catch up with him.
"What's with the rush?" I asked as I carefully followed him regardless of shoulder bumps, they weren't nearly as bad as the direct pushing Felix was doing to others while muttering things like "move."
"Chan wants me to walk you home," he replied to me, answering all of my curiosity. "Really?" he nodded at my question. Does Chan want me to suffer? I sighed feeling that this was gonna be a long awkward walk.
A couple of steps later and we were finally outside. The cold breeze instantly hit me, as I hugged myself whilst shivering. I feel winter coming already.
