Part 70

I didn't know where I was going and I didn't know where to go. Austin was literally my only family and if I went to Michele's where everyone else is I'd just be thinking about him which is exactly what I didn't want to do. I just started walking along the beach and decided to sit down. I sat with Carter in my lap and thought. Why does this have to happen. Obviously he doesn't love me and meant it that he didn't know if we were meant to be because he would've come after me.

I sat and thought for which must have been a couple hours. Carter was asleep the whole time thank goodness taking stress off. I checked my phone of course Austin had called and Michele and Sarah too. Ugh why! My phone started ringing. It was Alex. It's worth a shot.

''Hey.'' I said.

''Where are you?'' Alex asked concerned.

''As far away from Austin as I can be.'' I laughed.

''Seriously answer me!'' He said he was getting angry.

''No because I know Austin will be with you and I don't want to be near anyone. I want to be alone.'' I said angrily.

''C'mon he feels bad about it and he's crying right now.''

''So?'' I said not caring at all.''

''So you should come back.''

''No you know what who care that he's crying I never want to see him again!''

''She can't do this!'' I heard Austin says softly crying in the back. Yes this broke my heart but I couldn't live my whole life with the love of my life who keeps hurting me.

''Okay I'm gonna hang up I'm done with everyone. I'm gonna make a life for myself and I don't want to see Austin ever again.'' I yelled.

''Why not? I know you love him.'' Alex said.

''I do but do you know how hard it is to live with the love of your life and he just keeps hurting you!'' I said in tears.

''I can't keep doing this Alex. He's the only one I've ever loved but the only person that's ever hurt me so much.'' I said again.

''Austin could you go for a minute. Okay Austin's gone where are you? You're coming with me we need to talk and I don't care if you don't get back together with Austin you just need someone to take care of you until you're ready to go.'' He said concerned.

''Fine I'm at the beach... thanks Alex.'' I said and hung up.

I cried and cried. Until I heard someone talking.

''Kayla come back please I need you. My life has been so hard without sou.'' Austin cried. I didn't look up. I've been gone what two hours.

''Let's go back to the day when I saw your face for the very first time, well let's go back again to when I held your hand and stared onto your eyes. Cause I knew you were the one with you my life has just begun. Baby, you can count on me. Cause your heart is in my hands...''

I missed that angelic voice. I opened my eyes. I guess I had been asleep. I couldn't see it was really bright. I blink and my eyes adjust. I look down and Carter's not in my arms. I look around I'm in a strange withe room with a stranger at my bed looking at me........
