Zak's Perspective

I didn't really get much sleep last night to make sure Darryl was ok. It turns out he had slept peacefully which I'm glad about. I got at least 7 hours of sleep and feel fine seeing Darryl be fine. I felt little bit of movement from Darryl and saw that he was waking up.

"Good morning baby." I smiled.

"Morning..." He gives me a short kiss.

"You slept really well last night."

"Yeah I did."

"If you're still tired you can go back to sleep."

"No no I'm good." He looked at me, "What time is it?"

I look over at the clock, "It is currently 9:25."

Darryl got out of bed, grabbed his glasses, and headed out the door to go to the staircase downstairs. I followed not too far behind him. I was absolutely staving. When we got down we saw his parents making breakfast. It smelled like Chocolate Chip Pancakes and Bacon down here.

"Good morning sleepy heads. Did you sleep well?"

"Yes ma'am." I replied.

"Yes we did mom."

"I'm so glad boys!" She came over and gave us a hug.

"Whoa I didn't know it was hug time! Good morning boys."

"Good morning sir!"

"Good morning Dad!"

His Dad came over and joined into our hug that we were having. I wish my parents did this with me.

"I smell pancakes!"

"That is what I'm making honey."

"You always makes the best pancakes."

"Would you two boys like to eat inside or out? I heard today is a nice day to be outside."

"We could eat outside, Zak?"

"Yeah I actually would like that."

"Looks like we will be eating outside!"

His father looked so excited to eat outside. I have never seen someone so happy just to eat outside before. It didn't take long before Mrs. Noveschosch to finish breakfast. We all got our own plates, and placed some pancakes and bacon on them before going outside. Once we got outside we sat in the middle of a flower garden. It had a picnic table in the middle were we sat at. I can now see why Darryl likes flowers so much.

"You have lovely flowers ma'am."

"Thank you, Darryl and I every summer would always go shopping for flowers and plant them every year. We have been doing this since he has been able to walk."

"Yeah it was always so much fun! I'm so sorry for not helping out this year."

"It's no worries, you're grown up now and busy with a loved one now."

"That shouldn't stop me from coming and helping though."

"Don't feel guilty, maybe later we can show Zak how we would plant our flowers."

"Yeah that sounds like fun! You could show me so you and I can do it back at our place."

"Really! Your willing to try?"

"Heck yeah I am. I actually have been kind of wanted to garden recently."

"Alrighty sounds like the 3 of us has some gardening to do!"
