|May I Ask A Question?|

Zak's Perspective

I got into the car and put in a destination to the GPS. I knew it was gonna be a bit so I am leaving as early as I can. I turn on the radio and listened to music on the way. After an half an hour or so I finally made it to my destination. I walk up to the door and rang the door bell.

Ding Dong

"Why hello there Zak what are you doing here?" Darryl's mom asked.

"I.. uhm... may I come in?"

I fumbled over my words. Great job me, what a great start... I sit on the couch, my hands are so sweaty. I rub my hands against my pants to be less sweaty and more professional.

"Why do you look so nervous? Has something happened?"

"I.. I came to.. uh. May I ask a question?"

"Of course what is it?"

"I was wondering... if I could start planning on proposing to Darryl? I don't have any idea when I hope to do it or how but, I know that he's the one for me."

Darryl's mom looked at me shocked for a second which honestly scared me but it turned into a smile.

"My dear, you have my blessing."

My eyes widened I was so happy. Now time for the tricky part. How am I going to propose?

"Would you like to know how his father proposed to me?"

"Yes please that would be great."

"Well, it was 40 years ago we had been together for 3 years. We went to the park that is behind here. His father had asked when the last time I was at the park and I answered that it had been 5 years. He asked if I wanted to go on a date with him there and I replied yes. So we went there around dinner time and he packed out dinner. It was a picnic under the stars. Man where they beautiful. We had sandwiches, wine, apples, and crackers with cheese, it was so romantic at least to me it was. We sat there talking, giggling, and watched the stars for about an hour. We pointed out what we saw in the stars. After a bit he looked at me and smiled. He got my attention and got me to stand up. He pulled flowers from behind him and started saying a speech along with a poem. He then got down on one knee and asked me. Man it was one of the greatest days of my life... Good times."

"Man, I wish I was as great of a planner like that."

"You will get there, I know you will."

"Thank you again Mrs. Noveschosch."

"Anytime, if you ever need advice come back anytime."

I gave her a hug and said goodbye. Now it's time to be with Ant, Sam, and Red. An hour later I finally make it to the coffee shop. I see the three of them at the entrance of the door waiting.

"So did you get their blessing?" Ant asked.

"I got his mother's blessing and I'm sure she will be telling his father too so I think I'm able to get started planning."

"We could stand around here talking about this but I think sitting down with coffee in my hands is better." Sam teased.

We all walked in and ordered ourselves some coffee and found a seat.

"So what kind of ring you thinking on getting?" Red asked.

"I don't know yet, do you guys have any ideas?"

"Ooo get a diamond ring that is red and black!" Ant suggests.

I start to think about it and honestly that's not too bad. I jot it down in my notes of ideas of rings. Once we finished out coffee we headed our separate ways but it wasn't going to be too long since they are going to VidCon too. It was around 4 so I headed back home to be back with everyone else. I'm so excited to get to propose to Darryl!
