"here, go bring his food to him," keeho told seji.
"no, you," she argued back in a low whisper.
keeho smacked his lips and said, "it's your room and your man. go give him his food.".
seji gave him a glare and slapped his arm before saying, "he is not my man. i don't have a man. he is your friend. go give him his food."
as the two went back and forth arguing about who would bring the food into the room for theo, seji's room door opened, revealing theo.
seji and keeho both slowly turned their heads to look at him, staring at him with wide eyes when he took the plate of food out of keeho's hand and put his other hand on seji's wrist, gently pulling her into the room.
once they were both inside the room, theo shut the door, leaving keeho outside.
not knowing what else to do, seji rushed by his side and took the plate of food out of his hand to place it on the desk while he sat on the edge of the bed.
"you shouldn't have gotten out of the bed," seji quietly spoke, fidgeting with the things on the bed stand.
"you didn't get any sleep?" theo suddenly asked.
seji quickly glanced at him before looking away and said, "i did. why?"
"don't lie," theo stated, "i heard you and keeho talking."
"did i really keep you up all night?"
"well you were asleep for the whole time," she replied, "i just stayed in here all night because i was just .. worried."
"you should eat," seji added, bringing the plate to him.
theo took the plate and continued to stay silent, finally bringing the fork up to his mouth to eat.
"i'll come back later," she spoke before quickly walking out the room to face keeho once again.
"you could've at least stayed in there to keep him company," keeho stated.
"then you can do that," seji replied, "he's your friend."
"isn't he yours too?"
"more like acquaintances."
"but don't you like him?"
taking a seat on the couch, seji immediately turned her head to shoot him a death glare that burned deep into his soul.
keeho looked back at her and let out a chuckle, "we could really use you on missions. your stares could definitely kill."
"missions?" seji scoffed, "what are you guys? the avengers?"
"haha real funny," keeho remarked, rolling his eyes.
"yeah keep rolling them. maybe you'll find something valuable in there."
keeho dramatically gasped, "sassy, aren't we? did i miss something?"
"yes," seji nodded, "the door."
keeho smiled brightly and gave seji a nod of approval before taking the seat next to her on the couch. he sighed and relaxed his arm on her shoulder before saying, "i taught you well."
"i hate you," seji spoke with disgust.
"but you know i love you," keeho cooed.
—
"park seji," seji's mom spoke sternly.keeho and seji were sitting by the kitchen counter when they saw seji's mom walking towards them.
"mind to explain why there is a boy in your bed?"
"mom," seji began.
"it's my fault," keeho stated, "he's my friend and he got hurt, so i brought him here. i'm sorry, aunt mijoo."
seji's mom stayed extremely silent, exchanging glances with the two before sighing, "just .. next time, tell me who's in my house."
"yes ma'am," the two replied in unison.
"he's that boy, isn't he?" seji's mom asked her, "the one that always takes you home?"
seji hesitantly nodded.
"you said he was hurt?" she asked keeho, "is he one of your friends that participates in your dangerous—"
"mom, yes, he is," seji stated, replying for keeho, "but i promise he's not bad."
"seji, how can he not be bad if you say he participates in whatever keeho does?"
while the mother and daughter talked, keeho hung his head low, not intending to get seji in trouble.
"mom, he got hurt from protecting me," seji stated, "how could i call someone 'bad' for protecting me? why are you acting like this?"
"protecting you? what protection do you need from him?" her mom asked, "isn't that what keeho's for?"
"mom."
"aunt mijoo," keeho began, "theo really isn't bad. if anything, i'm probably worse than him."
"i—" seji's mom began before sighing, "i just don't want seji to get hurt."
keeho smiled, "she isn't going to get hurt if she has theo by her side. he cares about her a lot."
seji looked at keeho after he said his last sentence before looking at the ground and smiling to herself.
"and you probably care about him a lot too, right?" seji's mom asked her.
seji didn't reply, but only smiled brighter, making her mom smile.
"well as long as you're happy," her mom stated, "i'm happy with whoever you want to date."
"mom," seji shyly spoke, "we're not dating."
"well whatever you two are .. make sure to invite him over for dinner one day or ask him to join us tonight. i'd like to get to know this theo my daughter so very much cares about," seji's mom smiled.
