after seji spent lots of time lecturing and chasing after keeho for talking bad about her and theo even though he was in a relationship himself, she came to a stop out of exhaustion.
"seji, where's theo?" intak asked.
"i think he's sleeping in my room," seji replied, "why?"
intak shook his head, "i was gonna ask him if he could run to the store. the other guys are asleep too and i have to watch the grill."
"what do you need there?" she asked.
"ramen," intak replied.
"we can go get it," miri stated.
"really?" intak asked.
"sure," seji nodded, "why not?"
"awesome. thanks."
seji and miri hummed in response as they got up and put on their jackets and shoes before leaving the house.
"i saw a convenience store when i went shopping with theo," seji stated, "i'm pretty sure it's this way."
as they began walking away from the beach house towards the busy streets, the two girls linked arms and talked.
"but how could you hide your relationship with keeho from me?" seji complained.
"keeho didn't want anyone knowing, but i swear i was gonna tell you tonight," miri explained, "i'm sorry."
seji smacked her lips and rested her head on miri's shoulder as they continued working, "it's fine it's fine. just .. keeho? i seriously thought you and soul had a thing."
"soul?" miri questioned with shock, "he's like a baby brother to me."
"even though we're the same age," she added, "i could never look at him as more than a friend. he's so cute .. like a baby type of cute, you know?"
seji lifted her head and gasped, "RIGHT? that's what i told keeho! he is so adorable. i can't even go a second without wanting to pinch his cheeks."
miri gasped, "theo's not gonna like hearing you say that."
seji smiled, "he knows i only have eyes for him."
miri formed her mouth into an 'o' and made a long "ohhh" teasing sound, "well aren't you two in love."
as they entered the store and searched for ramen, seji smiled to herself.
"you're really happy with him, aren't you?" miri asked her.
seji nodded.
"i can tell," miri laughed, "he seems really happy with you too. theo completely changed."
"you noticed it too?!" seji exclaimed, receiving a nod from miri.
"it's cute though," miri added.
"you know .." seji began, "now that i think about it .. you and keeho being together isn't that big of a shocker. i was kinda expecting you to get with one of the boys eventually."
"is that a bad thing? i feel like that's a bad thing."
"why would it be a bad thing? that makes you my future cousin-in-law," seji cooed.

the two girls left the store and began their way back to the house. halfway, seji felt a presence following them, unsure if miri felt it too.
seji turned her head and saw an uncomfortable expression on miri's face as miri constantly looked to her side.
"you notice it too?" seji whispered, receiving a nod.
she immediately took out her phone and tried her best to quickly click on theo's contact, hoping that he was awake.

everything happened fast.
seji felt the figure come closer and turned her head only to see the figure fall to the ground.
miri and seji both gasped, jumping back in shock, looking up from the figure to see theo and keeho looking at the figure with anger.
"i warned you. leave. her. alone," theo spat, throwing a punch in between each word.
keeho stood and chuckled at him, seeing how theo was being so protective of his cousin.
once theo finished lashing out on the guy, he turned around to see seji standing there with a shocked look.
he walked over to her and grabbed her hand, gently pulling her away.
"theo, don't—" keeho began, but theo only continued to walk off with seji.
the two walked in silence, hand in hand, all the way to the house with miri and keeho behind them.
seji knew by the silence that theo was upset and she wanted to speak up, but knew she shouldn't when they entered the house.
when they entered the house, theo let go of seji's hand and walked upstairs into his room. all the other boys saw this and knew something was up by the way theo acted towards seji, so they got quiet.
seji stood still by the door, not knowing what to do. keeho and miri walked inside, shutting the door behind them.
"don't worry," keeho softly spoke, putting a hand on seji's shoulder, "give him five minutes and then go talk to him."
