I wasn't able to sleep the same way again after that incident that night. Two years ago it happened, but I still have night terrors.

"Good luck in college, Lia!" Monica yelled at me. I waved back at her, "You better behave without me being around. Don't cause too much trouble!" She laughed and turned around to go back to the orphanage. I'll miss volunteering there. I put the last of my belongings in the back of my baby blue colored Honda, closed it, got into the driver's seat and turned on the engine. I'll miss this place. I stepped on the gas and I was off for my new life in the University.
As soon as I got there and got settled in with my roommate, Adeline, I was off to a very good start. It was another day in the dorm, Adeline and I just got done with class, "Pass me the remote, Abby." I looked back at Adeline, "Magic word, please." "Butterscotch!" We both smiled at our code names. "Thank you." I handed her the remote, "You're welcome."
Adeline and I spent the whole night watching movies and eating junk food like most teens in the world. Knock. I looked at the clock, 9:35 p.m., then me and Adeline exchanged looks of confusion. "Other sorority girls?" We both shrugged our shoulders, perfectly in sync with each other. "I'll go check." I got up and put on a jacket and a pair of pajama pants. I made my way to the door and looked through the little peep hole, but all I could see was the door of the dorm right in front of ours. I couldn't fathom my fright from what saw written on the door in front. The door was slightly open and on the door was a message written in blood. He killed us... Help.
I made my way back to Adeline, my face was pale as the snow, maybe even worse. "What's wrong?" I couldn't speak. The intercom turned on, "Lock all doors now. Emergency breached! A killer has entered the campus, make sure to stay-" We heard the sound of cutting flesh and the intercom turned off and so did the electricity. I the hallway, we heard the sound of doors being pounded open, "He's close...." Adeline and I hid in the tiny closet. Thank god we're small. Both of us heard the sound of footsteps come closer and we braced ourselves. Help us..... Please.
