We all experience grief in one way or another.
At some point in life, the fabric of reality is ripped out from underneath our feet, and we are stuck trying to piece it back together.
We tell ourselves it isn't true.
That the person, the animal, that life, is not truly gone.
We melt between lies and truth, trying to discern what happened, and who is to blame.
You might even try to join the lost object or person, wasting away endless possibilities that never began.
That is grief. That is true, true pain, when you know you can't rewind, can't turn back and try again.
The loss becomes a part of you, a never-ending reminder that whatever you lost,
Is truly gone.
