Humans, Demons, Grim Reapers, Dolls, Ghosts, Hounds greater than the property they live on—but Witches are a much less common breed of creature, these days.

They lurk in the shadows, continuously masking their presence, their existence. If someone were to somehow discover them, the witch hunts would begin, and all of England would participate in the brutal killings.

If they ran, all that would meet them was a spear or an axe to their backs.

If they were captured, they would be doused from head to toe with the Flames of the Fire Spinner, a rare possession to come by.

Others, per say, do not mind being out in the open. If properly educated, they may hide their true forms and lead normal lives wherever they may choose to.

If given clemency, a witch may live without consequences, by order of those with authority.

Jane Thatcher and her mother have lived freely for as long as they could remember, learning and doing what they could – without revealing themselves, of course – to help their fellow ‘Humans’ that live in their society.

Of course, Jane Thatcher and her mother are as un-Human as you could be.
