CHAPTER 1

It’s early on a Sunday afternoon, after Church service. My husband and kids went to visit my mother in-law downtown. One of the worker from the motel stop by at my house that made me stay back home. She gossip me about my next door neighbor that the groom-to-be canceled their wedding which is in weeks time because he found out that his supposed wife was once a strip dancer.

Immediately the guest take her leave, I invite into my house my next door neighbor, luckily enough, the supposed bride was with him pleading for mercy…They both sit on a cushion next to each other and I entertain them.

Life has its ups and downs and many sides; but, whatsoever sides and directions life pushes us to, we should learn to face and overcome it.

************
Natalya:
Lying all alone on a clinical bed, people running to and fro, I couldn’t really figured out what was going on, I didn’t even know where I was.

“Oh my God, doctor, she’s awake”,

the woman sited beside me screamed out.

Immediately, the doctor appeared right before her and carried out some check up on me, asked me some questions which I gave no answer to, he smiled and turned to the woman that summoned for him, he said to the woman smiling

“Lets thank God that she has finally recover from coma, guess she got amnesia, but believe me Mrs. It’ll only take few time for her to recover from it, you don’t have to panic”

Things’ happening wasn’t still cleared to me. Few minutes later, the woman came over and arranged some stuff in a bag; she raised me up from the bed and whispered softly into my ear

“I’m taking you home with me; you’ll definitely be alright dear”

She looked caring and loving, and I really wondered what could have happened to me. She took me to the doctor’s office and signed some papers then we headed home.

****************
…She angrily barged into my room, she removed the frame on my wall and hit it on the head of the person lying beside me, she attacked me and tried strangling me, and I pushed her down to the floor, picked up her car key and ran out……

I screamed out from my dream, breathing so heavy, the woman who took me to her house rushed into my room, cuddled me close to her, I was so sure she must had rushed in on hearing my scream.

I looked so worried with fear written all over my face, it could easily be felt from the way I breathe. I wondered why I frequently do have that same dream, that dream kept on haunting my life.

“You need to help me to make you get better soon. Is it the same dream you still had?” she asked me

I nodded positively to her question, on knowing it was still same dream; she drastically stood up and seemed tired of my situation, having same bad dream and amnesia. What really happened in the past that was reflecting itself as a nightmare?

There was a knock on the door which interrupted our discussion; we headed to the living room to know who was at the door. The guest was welcomed in so warmly, he must be an honorable person, he looked at me pitifully and asked

“Do you now remember anything that happened to you in the past? That can possibly help us?”

Tears rolled down from my eyes, he has just asked me a rhetorical question. If I could possibly remember anything about my past I would have said it long before now.
