four months later Selest and Draco are at home with Sarina when Selest gets a page to go to the hospital she picks up her pager to see what it says when she see 911 ER she picks up her phone and calls the hospital to see what the page is about.
"Hello, its Dr Malfoy i just received a page for the ER what is the problem"
"Hello, yes it is nurse Matthews it was me that paged you we have a patient that needs major heart surgery and Dr wright is in OR 2 with another patient we need you here now"
"Ok i'm on my way prep the patient and book OR 1 if it not in use already"
"I'm sorry Draco but i need to go to the hospital to operate on a patient i will be back as soon as i can"
an hour later Selest is still in surgery with her patient struggling to get him off bypass she tries one more time before confirming time of death.
"thank you everyone but the damage was too extensive"
Selest then goes to inform the family of what happened.
"hello are you the relative of mr carter, I'm sorry to inform you despite our best efforts we was unable to take him off bypass and he died I'm sorry for your lost"
after typing up her patients report she goes home to draco and cries then goes to see her dad
"hi dad how are you? " selest says as she enters her fathers study
"I'm good, wow you look like you have been run over by a truck then dragged through the mud"
"that is what four hours in surgery trying to get a patient off bypass after a tree has gone through his chest looks like"
her father just stands up and hugs her and without her realising she falls asleep in his arms standing up.
