" We're sorry but your services are no longer needed".
Those are the last words I wanted to hear. Especially coming from my shitty job that barely kept my lights on.
But ain't life a bitch?
What's next? I don't know and I don't care. This tequila that I'm currently drowning all my sorrows in seems to be the only thing that knows my next move.

"It hurts to see her like this." I hear a voice say.
"Shit, if I lost my job I'd be the same way."
"It's not fucking funny Eryn. Look at her."
"I'm looking."
I groan from the constant talking and the headache that I have from my friend Tequila does the same.
"Ahani, hun? Get up please."
"Stop being so soft with her Sydni. BITCH GET THE FUCK UP!"
"Would you guys shut the fuck up? I'm up." I try to sit up but the current state of my body declines my offer falling back on my pillow which smells of liquor and depression.
"Why are you in my house?" I question my friends whom I now regret giving spare keys to my home.
"We're here to restore you because let's be honest you look like shi- OW!" I hear, Eryn say but she's cut off by Sydni stepping on her foot and throwing her a glare.
"Let's cut to the chase" Sydni starts, " Your mail is piled up at your front door which I'm sure is 75% bills. Bills that you can't afford to pay. So being the amazing friend that I am-" Sydni says but she's cut off.
"We." Eryn interrupts.
Sydni rolls her eyes but continues. "Being the good friends that WE are, we found you a job."
I looked at them both and started laughing.
"You really think that I would want a job after the last one fired me after all I did for them? I don't need a job, I need another bottle of Tequila." I say with a scoff and standing up trying to push through them.
"I figured you'd say that, which is why I went through your mail." Eryn says with a smile.
"These words look familiar, Ahani?" She says waving a paper directly in my face.
"It says eviction, now I know you aren't very bright so I'll tell you the definition-." She goes on but I cut her short.
"I know what it fucking means now move. They can take the house I'm not getting a job." I say still trying to get through them.
"NO!" Sydni snaps at me. " I had to pull numerous strings to get you this job and here you are rejecting it? I don't usually talk like this because my kids don't like it but, bitch your broke and about to get evicted from the only thing I've seen you happy about since....yeah." She shouts at me.
I know what and who she's talking about but I choose to brush it off. I don't need a walk down memory lane right now. Not ever.
I hate to admit it but they're right. I'm drowning in bills with no source of income.
"I'll take the job." I mutter under my breath.
"What? Say it louder babe, I didn't catch that." Eryn says with sarcasm lacing through her voice.
"Ok first, fuck you and I said I'll take the job." I say annoyed.
"Great! My friend, Lorenzo told me that he'd see you tomorrow at 10am sharp don't be late." Sydni exclaims obviously happy with me agreeing.
"I called my stylist crew and they'll be here to fix....you at 7am so be prepared. It's going to take a miracle so I'll tell them 6am." Eryn says and walks out of the room to make a phone call.
"I gotta run back to my office but you'll do great. I've known Lorenzo for years, he's a nice man to everyone he comes across." Sydni explains to me.
"He better be." I scoff under my breath.
Sydni goes to leave but I stop her.
"Hey, you never told me the position I'm being interviewed for." I say to her.
"Oh sorry, you're going to be his personal assistant." She says and leaves.
