"Let go of me numb skull!" Mariana laughs in my arms kneeling me in the chest. It hurt, but not so bad I'd make a response.
"Fine." I say and drop her into her favorite reclining chair in between my spot and my new friend David. Well, sorta. I feel like he might be gay. The guys pretty awkward and sketchy.
"Thank you." She smiles and gets comfortable then throwing a pillow at me as I sit. I notice David stand and move around all tense.
"What's up with you?" I ask him. What is his deal? Why can't the guy just chill? Mariana gets up and grabs David's remote. What the heck is she doing? David let's out a breath and falls back into his spot. Huh. Maybe it was nothing.
"Okay, Mac. I challenge you to a race on our old favorite" Mariana smiles. Oh, she's gonna get a challenge. I look over at David, poor guys probably left out. I should Q him in.
"Alright sis, I accept your challenge on one condition. "
"Name it"
"You take David" I say crossing my arms. I can beat them both easy.
" what? Come on Mac that's not fair"
" He's not a bad player"
" Maybe not but I want to show you who's boss without help." Mariana smiles with a confident hand on her hip. Sweet, this is gonna be fun, but David's gotta play too. I need to see this guy's skills in more than just fantasy games. I look over at him...crap we made eye contact. David steps up shoving both hands in his pockets.
"You can do all the work, I can just hang and be your backup if that solves it." He looks at Mariana through his bangs and she smiles.
"Sounds good to me." She turns to me again" you ready to take us on bro?" Ha, she's kidding. I sit in my recliner with my control.
"Let's go Sis." I smile
