"Nofing!" She replies as she hides her face in the pillow. I start to tickle her and she squeals and laughs "otay! I tell you," she says finally giving in. "Daddy has a girlfriend!" She cheers happily as she jumps around in the bed "shiiiiiiit man, that's harsh," Josh says as he notices my shocked look, it was true I had a girlfriend and her name was Mads but I didn't wanna tell Bailey until I knew she would be able to handle a 6-year-old too, my daughter and I are a package deal so if you don't want Bailey then you ain't having me. "Baby, I don't have a girlfriend," I say quickly trying to figure out an excuse before she fires something back about how she found out, "uncle Brycie told me!" She cheers happily "honey, you know that uncle Brycie comes up with silly lies sometimes," "no no no, this one is real! I'm gonna have a mommy!!!" She gets even more excited just at the thought, she's never had a REAL mom, of course, she's had mother figures but never someone who could truly be like a mother to her, I can't just tell a 6-year old that I'm not dating anyone, I mean, first of all, that's lying and second of all, she's so happy! You can see the happiness in her eyes but on the other hand, I haven't told Mads about Bailey yet. I was planning on doing it sometime this week but looks like I'm doing it tonight. "Bailey, sweetie, can you go play with one of the boys for a while please?" I ask trying to get her out of the room whilst I call Mads "but I wanna stay here," she says as she plonks herself done on the bed and crosses her arms over her chest "no baby, I said go play with one of the boys, daddy has some adult things to do" "but I wanna stay here!" She puts on a cute grumpy face knowing I can't resist it but I have to stay strong "honey no, I said go play with the boys, you either go now or I take your iPad away," she scrambles up and quickly scrambled out of the room "so what are you going to do?" Josh asks "I'm calling Mads and telling her about Bailey, I mean I have no other choice, did you see how excited Bailey was?" "Yeah, Jay, I saw it but what if she doesn't accept it? What will you do then, you'll break Bailey's little delicate heart," he looks over at me as if he's trying to tease me "idk what I'll do so I'm hoping that she'll understand," "ok." I get up and leave Joshes room and head to mine, I sit on my bed and call Mads

"Hey, baby, what's up?" She answers "hey bubs, umm I have something to tell you and I don't know how you'll feel but I need you to be completely honest with me," I start to get nervous "ok, what is it?" She asks, the nervousness clear in her voice "I umm, I have a 6-year-old daughter called Bailey," she gasps "I know you're probably going to break up with me bu-," she quickly cuts me off "no Jaden, I'm not going to break up with you but this clears up so much! Can I meet her!? Oh please Jaden let me meet her!" I sigh in relief "of course! She was so excited once Bryce slipped the news," I laugh "so this is why you skip our dates a lot?" "Well yeah, she gets sick quite easily and often." She doesn't say anything for a second "soooooooo, when do I get to meet her!?" She excitedly asks "whenever, I guess, I have no plans," "can I come over now!?" "You excited aren't you?" I ask laughing "well duh! I love kids!" She starts "wait! Who's her mom?"
