Ignored. Aoki never thought she would experience it. Funny how life can do that, she thought as tears streamed down her cheeks. You would think after going through so much, they would have had an unbreakable bond. I mean, at least the boys did. She was on her knees, her hands trying to cover eyes. How did it get to this point, you might ask? Well the memory's hit her like a ton of bricks.
"Riff! wait up!" She said, struggling to hold her books as she caught up to the firey.
"Oh, hey Aoki." he said paying more attention to his phone then her. She flinched, surprised at his tone.
"Hey.... Is anything wrong?" She asked him. It took him a while to answer, and when he did he just seemed annoyed. Even though this has been happening for a couple of months, she never seemed to get used to it.
"Well obviously. Im texting the boys, so we can talk later, ok?"
"Yeah ok........" She said, as a pained look covered her face. He walked ahead, still looking at his phone. Even though he has acted like this for a while, it wasn't this bad before. She had noticed that they had all been growing apart, and it really hurt. She didn't know what she was doing wrong and it was crushing. She suddenly noticed light flashing from her hands, and stuffed them in her pockets. She could hold off Vouidus attacks, but couldn't even control her powers when she thought of that. It was embarrassing. She rushed to her next class, immediately trying to forget about the encounter. I mean it was good for her. Right?
Lunch
She went over to there lunch table, and sat down. Eron was talking everyone's ears off as usual, and everyone was laughing.
"Hey guys, whats so funny?" She asked. Nobody answered. Of course, she thought. She was almost used to it by now. Why would anyone answer her? She was just the guardian. She didn't matter. It seemed like she never did, so why would they care now? Tears threatened to fall down her face, and she almost ran to the bathroom. She shut herself into a stall, and buried her face into her hands. The tears started to fall, and she desperately tried to stop them. Stop being so weak! Why do you feel this way? You knew it was going to happen eventually. Your just annoying and waste there time. No wonder they ignore you. Now wonder they dont even care that you exist. Ha! They probably never did! The thoughts streamed in, making her cry harder.
"Im fine, im fine im fine, im fucking fine! "She whispered, she always said things like this. She knew it wasn't healthy, but she couldn't care less at this point. She pushed the feelings inside her, and she calmed down. She rubbed a paper towel across her face, cleaning the tears. She walked out of the stall, stopping at the mirror. Once she made sure there was no sign of her crying, she walked out and sat down again.
"Aoki! There you are!" Trek said.
"Yeah I was just in the bathroom!" She said with a fake smile. She sat down, and started to look around the room. It seemed that these days it was normal not to be included in the conversations, or be asked things. Not to be in on the jokes. Not treated like she existed. She suddenly realized how bad it had gotten. Every day would be like this. Everyday she would be on the verge of tears, as she sat there with a fake smile. It hurt even more that it seemed that Riff was ignoring her the most. Her crush. Even though she knew she didnt have time for love, she couldn't help it. And thats another one of the things that made this so bad. That he was ignoring her the most. The only person who seemed to care now was Eron now. Even though she was grateful for that, It wasn't enough. The bell rang, and they all got up. They walked in front of her, And went into the gym. They have been having recess in there the last few days, since it had been really cold outside. Little did she know, that this would be the place were she had the worst experience of her life.
