Sunshine - Part One

I wake up to tapping on my door.
"Olivia..." Tap tap tap, "Oliviaaaa..." Tap tap tap, "OLIVIA!!" I hear my dad yell.

"I'm up, I'm up," I call back sitting up in my bed. I hear his footsteps slowly fading down the hall way to the stairs and sigh.

I slowly peel my duvet from my legs and hop out bed heading over to my wardrobe. I grab a cute white vest, some jeans and a cardigan, as its slightly chilly now that September has come.

I walk out of my room and head for the bathroom taking a quick shower and throwing on my outfit. After drying my hair I throw on some light make up and head for the stairs.

My dad is standing in the kitchen, coffee in one hand newspaper in the other.

"Morning sweetie, got any plans for the day?" He smiles at me.

"Not really, I think I might go to the shop and get my last bits ready for college tomorrow," Today is my last day of the summer holidays before I start college tomorrow.

I'm excited but I'm nervous at the same time, new people, new surroundings it's all so nerve wracking. So I need to make sure that I am 100% prepared.

"Okay, well I'm off to work so I'll see you when I get back later on," he smiles as he walks out of the kitchen heading for the front door. "See you later." I hear as the door closes.

I prepare myself some cocopops for breakfast and get my notepad off the kitchen side ready to make a list of everything I need to get today.

Finishing up my list I grab my house keys and my bag and head straight out the front door and left towards the shopping centre.

I head to the stationary store first and grab the things I need from there and a few different pens that I thought were quite nice. I then head for the closest accessory store to grab some hair ties as they are essential for my studying, my hair is so long it really annoys me whilst studying but I don't want to cut it as I hate my hair short.

After finally getting a hold of a pack of hair ties three shops later, I head for the grocery store in search of breakfast bars, I grab some extra snacks for the rest of the week whilst shopping and then head home.

Whilst walking home I look up and the Autumn sun and decide to take a walk to the park once I have dropped everything back home.

Once I am home I find everything a place and run upstairs to change from my pumps to my trainers for my walk through the park. I grab my book from the side of my bed and head back downstairs and out of the front door towards the park.
