Fluke tried to stop his hands from shaking as he slowly took the cookie from his mouth. Sweat starting to build at his temples as the man walked up to the both of them, eyeing them suspiciously.

"What's going on here?" He questioned and Fluke swore he saw a glimpse of fear in Ohms eyes. What was he so afraid of?

"Nothing, mom made us help her with the food." Ohm stated shortly and Fluke tilted his head in confusion. She made us? Fluke offered to help and he didn't know why Ohm would lie about that. The shorter boy made a move to voice his thoughts before Ohm gave him a look that instantly shut down any idea to speak.

"Did you want to say something?" The older man asked as he stood in front of the small boy and Fluke looked up at him with wide eyes.

"Why are you home so early?" Ohm retorted and the younger boy released a breath of relief that the attention was no longer on him. He shot his neighbor a thankful smile before he nodded back, assuring that it would be okay.

"I didn't know I needed a reason to be in my own home."

"You don't, I was just wondering why you got out so early. Mom wanted to have dinner ready by the time you were home." Ohm stated and the tension in the air was so thick Fluke was sure that Earth could feel it back at his house.

"I don't remember the last time your mother had dinner ready by the time I was home. Is your friend staying for dinner?" He questioned as he eyed the shorter male once again and Pharm could do nothing but stare at the ground.

"No!" Ohm nearly shouted, causing both Fluke and his dad to look at him in surprise. "I just mean that he can't stay because he already made plans for tonight." He stated, this time much more calmer and collected.

"Nonsense, have him stay for dinner. He can just reschedule and besides, I want to get to know your friend since he's already come inside the house." He walks out of the kitchen and Fluke sees Ohm unclench his fists, leaning against the counter as he let out a much needed breath of relief. Fluke was on his way to check on the cookies when suddenly, a hand tightly grasped his arm. He turned around and was shocked when he came face to face with the older, Ohm bending down so he was eye level with Fluke as he put his hands on either side of his shoulders.

"I need you to listen to me, Fluke. You need to be very careful during this dinner and make sure to not say anything you don't need to. He's going to say a lot of things but you can't let them get to you, do you understand?" Ohm questioned seriously and Fluke was slightly amused at the whole situation.

"Come on Ohm, it's just your dad. You're just overr-"

"Fluke, do you understand?" Ohm cut him off sternly as he came closer to the shorter male, their faces merely inches apart. Fluke felt his heart flutter but at the same time he started to fear how bad Ohm's dad might be. It scared him how serious Ohm was and he didn't want to find out what would happen if something went down at the dinner table. God, he should have never followed through with this stupid plan in the first place.

"I understand." Fluke nearly whispered and Ohm nodded his head in response, a small smile coming to his lips as he straightened up to his original height. The older made sure to check that nobody was going to interrupt them again before he grabbed a cookie from the tray and slipped it between the shorters lips.

"You can do this, Fluke. I'll be right next to you the entire time." He reassured him before grabbing his wrist and leading him up the stairs. Fluke could do nothing but let himself get pulled to the second floor and his breath halted in his chest when he saw what he assumed to be Ohms bedroom door. He walked in after the older and couldn't help but smile as he saw the state the room was in. Ohm rushed to pick up some clothes from the floor and threw them in the hamper, kicking a pair of shoes to the side as he rubbed the back of his neck. "I wasn't really expecting guests so I'm sorry for the mess." He apologized and Fluke could help but coo at his cuteness. It was surprising to see this side of Ohm that was a stark contrast to the arrogant boy he knew at school.

"Don't worry about it, you wouldn't even be able to imagine the mess in my room." The smaller spoke lying through his teeth. It would be hard to find even a speck of dust in any corner of his bedroom and Earth would constantly tease Fluke about his tidiness. He took a seat in the chair next to the desk and Ohm fell onto his bed, the bed bouncing from the sudden weight. Minutes passed by as the both of them sat in silence, Fluke deciding that now was a good time to text Earth to let him know that he would be staying for dinner. "Can I ask you something?" Ohm asked as Fluke looked up from his screen, nodding at the others request.

"Why do you look at me like that?" He questioned as he turned to his side, resting his head on his hand as he faced the younger.

"What do you mean?" Fluke feigned confusion but he knew exactly what he was talking about. He had hoped that Ohm wouldn't notice the longing stares he would send him even though they nearly had a staring contest at their very first meet.

"Sometimes, you'll look at me like there's something more. Like you're trying to find something that you lost. What is it that you're looking for?" He watched as his gaze locked with the younger, wondering what it could be that made him look at him with such earnest eyes.

Fluke was taken aback by the question and he wondered if he should actually tell the truth. From what he could see by his attitude now, there was no way he had remembered who he was or how he knew him from before. He wanted to find out what actually had happened before he told the older the reason behind his stares.

"I just think you have nice eyes." Fluke responded and it wasn't entirely a lie. Ohm squinted at the younger, almost as if he was trying to see right through his brain to find out if he was telling the truth or not. "We should watch a movie!" The younger offered and Ohm chuckled at his obvious change of the subject. He decided to let it slide for now as he grabbed the remote to turn on the TV but he swore that no matter what, he would find out everything he needed to know about Fluke Natouch.
