The rain beats across the shudders of the home the thunder clashes across the midnight's sky. " Little Tiffany runs down the hall and opens the door to her parent's bedroom.

The door creaks open she runs to her mom's side of the bed and she said: "Mommy I'm scared" Cammy wakes up instantly to the sound of her baby girl's voice."

Aww, honey what the matter?

Cammy already knew but she wanted to comfort her daughter her only child who was her miracle child.

She and John had tried for years to have children but couldn't then one morning she woke up with morning sickness that was the most exciting day of her life.

Cammy presses her index finger against her lips and says shhhh and whispers let's don't wake daddy let's go get some milk. She arose out of bed slowly.

Tiffany nods her head in agreement and says ok mommy, Cammy then puts her robe on and puts her slippers on and then grabs her daughter by the hand to head to the kitchen.

As soon as she gets by the door she stops and looks back at her husband who is sound asleep she smiles and a scene flashes through her mind of when he first proposed to her and the night of their honeymoon.

But then she starts thinking about her betrayal and those happy memories begin to fade away.
Why did I cheat on such a good man she wonders.

Boom the lighting clashes and the house shakes from the echoes of thunder and she jumps back startled by the sound that she screams forgetting she was holding her daughter's hand she looks at the digital clock that someone had given her for a house warming gift the clock's time read 4:15

"Great!"" She says only 3 more of hours of sleep before I have to get ready for work." some gift she thought.

They walk down the stairs towards the kitchen and Cammy immediately feels a chill come over her and eerie feeling as if someone had just opened the door to the main interest of the house she started to panic and a wave of emotion surged through her  like a bolt of lightning she immediately grabbed the broom running to turn on the lights she looks left and then right but nothing and nobody was there except her daughter , she then turns towards the door but it's close tight and locked a good sign she thought but why was she feeling so anxious like something or someone was lurking and where had that cool air come from she wondered?

"Oh my God!" she screamed the windows maybe she was being paranoid again checking all the windows but they were all closed.
"Okay breathe  Cammy just breathe she told herself and think."

Cammy had a thought that maybe the thermostat unit was not working they had it installed upon moving in.

She quickly checks the temperature " No that's not it" she says to herself" so she quickly returns to the kitchen."

"Mommy, can I have ice cream ?" Her daughter asked

"No honey you cannot have ice cream and it's too late" "But I want ice cream mommy" Cammy always gave in to her daughter's wants she spoiled her she knew she would reap heavy consequences of her crying if she didn't and it was too early for crying.

She washed her hands and notice now where the breeze was coming from the window of the lattice was open above the sink. That's strange she thought. So she became frantic and hurried to check the alarm system to make sure it was set.

"What are you doing down here the male's voice came out of nowhere Cammy screams ahhh! John, you scared me to death!"

And immediately Tiffany starts crying mommy they quickly go into the kitchen tiffany had spilled her milk on the floor" It's okay baby we'll get you some more milk"John did you happen to leave the window open ?" No why?

"Because when I came downstairs I kept feeling a breeze coming from somewhere and I saw that the window was cracked in the kitchen that's why I was checking the alarm system to make sure that it was secure before you came down here and scared the crap out of me "

"Well, that's strange maybe we have ghosts" Yeah maybe she says but she wasn't convinced.
"Ok everyone back to bed " "C'mon up the stairs John said."

As soon as they got up the stairs Cammy tucked in her little one away but John had already laid back down and fallen asleep by the time Cammy came back to the bedroom.

She laid down and fell asleep but her slumber didn't come quick enough but it seemed like only a few minutes had passed. She tossed and turned and she could not find her comfortable spot.

She tried to make an excuse for herself and blamed it on John snoring so loud. She thought to herself who am I kidding then she decided to just lay there and rationalize and stare at the ceiling and she became so frustrated that she started crying but the silent tears streamed down her face that only God could hear.

She had so much on her mind that she finally figured out why she couldn't go to sleep. It was because her stress was through the roof.

This is why she started spending 30 minutes sessions a day at a shrink in place of her aerobics class. So that John wouldn't notice anything out of the ordinary.

Her friend Becky from work had recommended that she do it. She said it would help with the healing process when her husband finds out.

"When my husband finds out I won't have to worry about being healed I will have to worry about being killed instead."
Becky laughed at her that day in the office when she said that.

But Cammie felt so much grief and confusion she didn't know what to do.

She often thought about how John would react when she finally got up the nerve to tell him. Would he be mad or heartbroken?

It worried her because she has never seen him angry or upset when they were dating or since they been married.

They haven't had but one argument the entire time that they have been together that she can recollect and that was when she was pregnant the argument was about what to name their child. And even then he wasn't mad or upset.

The shrink recommended that she tell her husband in an open place for her safety and his. At that moment she felt like she didn't even know her husband anymore

Then she asked Margie her psychiatrist while laying down on the sofa at her doctor's office

"What kind of man doesn't argue? Or what kind of man doesn't get upset about anything except the baby's name"

And Margie simply said, "A man that cares about you."

She laid there next to her husband now with her head on his chest replaying those words in her head a man that cares about you and it made her cry even more.

She cried so much that she knew she had to turn in the opposite direction because she didn't want to wake up John.

She knew she wouldn't be able to explain all those tears by lying. But she also knew she wasn't ready, to tell him the truth either.
