Chaeyoung folded the piece of paper after reading, and turned her attention to Sana who was just quiet.

“What did you do, then?” Chaeyoung asked.

Sana sighed heavily. “I secretly put the letter under the dog statue at the garden – as it was what it says on the note,” Sana paused.

“Sana... she looked so vulnerable then... I was also hurt seeing her like that.” Chaeyoung confessed, looking Sana in the eyes. “And you even agreed to be friends with her after that?” Chaeyoung maintained calm, despite feeling disappointed at the older girl. She knows she's in no place to be mad, especially since she doesn't know Sana's reasons.

She waited patiently for Sana's answer.

Then she heard a sigh.

“That's my point, Chaeyoung...”

Chaeyoung immediately frowned at the answer she got. Still, she waited for the older girl to open up.

“I agreed to be friends with her then because I was clueless...” Sana hung back to take a deep breath. “I agreed to be friends with her then because... I liked her since I transferred here, Chae...”

Chaeyoung shifted in her seat. “And you rejected her? I don't get it.”

There was a long pause before Sana started speaking up again.

“I thought kd was Kang Daniel...”
