After 10 minutes of sitting in silence thinking of ideas on what to do now, we finally concluded that he had absolutely nowhere to go and we're both ready to just get some sleep. I thought of going to my house but of course, it's showing 1hr 58mins away on my phone maps due to a car crash and detour.

"That would be almost 3-4 hours going there and back, ugh," I complained. I was at a loss for what to do right now.

Carter cleared his throat from in the passenger seat. "Um- we could always get a cheap, nearby room somewhere? I have about $50 cash on me now.." he offered.

I thought about it for a minute, but could we actually find somewhere to go for less than $50 a night? Should I even be going to a room with him actually, am I being crazy? I mean I did just spend the whole day with him... but that doesn't mean anything. I still don't know a lot about him, what if he's a psycho? Alex, chill.. you were the one that knocked him out and put him in your car remember!? You're the real psycho.

"What you thinking over there?" Carter questioned.

Fuck it, it's just one night. "Yeah, that will work. Let me find the nearest place" I unlocked my phone and searched for a cheap motel near me. The only one that I found showed room rates for $40 a night but of course, it was for the single bedrooms only.

"Ooh, I definitely have no complaints about that... It's completely up to you," he shrugs giving me a flirtatious look. My mouth dropped open and he started laughing. "I'm kidding! But honestly, I don't mind. I'll sleep on the floor or the couch if there is one."

I smile, "Thanks for the reassurance sir but I don't mind staying there with you, it'll just be a few hours to sleep."

"Yay let's go. I'm tired as hell, I was planning on sleeping the whole plane ride home," he tells me.

The place we chose was only 8 minutes away, The Motel Inn, a pretty simple name. There was a man standing at a small desk with a glass barrier in between us.

"Hi, can we get a single bedroom for tonight only?" I ask the man behind the counter, whose name tag read 'Steve'.

"I.D.?" he asks quickly.

"Uhh ya," I say starting to search my pockets for my I.D. "Here you are, and he doesn't have one right now because he lost it yesterday but I promise you he's of age as well"

Carter nodded from beside me, "yea my birthdays on-"

"I don't care." The man says bluntly while grabbing two room keys from a stack behind him. "Here... lost key fee is $50. Room 119 all the way at the end." Steve points out the door after handing us both a key.

"Great, thank you," Carter says to him before we exit the small lobby. We start walking down the sidewalk passing other rooms. 211..213..215.. "here we go, 219!" Carter puts the key in the door and pushes it open once the lock blinks green.

The room was more disappointing than the disappointment I was already expecting. It reeked of freshly lit cigarettes, even though it's a 'non-smoking' room as the guy insisted. The bed was twin size and had some burn holes in the comforter wrapped around it. "It's beautiful!", Carter sarcastically compliments the place.

"Oh yes, this is gonna be a marvelous stay," I play along while faking a bad British accent. "Shall we tour the place, Sir Carter?"

He moves back a few steps to the door, "why of course! Let's start with this lamp here, over 1,000 years old and the only one of its kind still around. Worth a lot of money, make sure you don't touch." I chuckled slightly as he smirked, satisfied with his own jokes. "Now, if you take 3 steps to the left you'll see a very small twin bed, which holds the world record for most holes ever!"

I laugh out loud this time, "Ohhh wow, that's amazing." I pretend to start taking pictures with my hands as if I'm clicking the button of a disposable camera. "Can you show us the bathroom next, please? I'm smelling really rank," I continue to sniff my armpits and make an exaggerated face.

"Oh my pleasure, I've been wondering what that smell was all day!" Carter also making an exaggerated stinky face at me. I slap his arm after and gasp.

"How dare you! You take that back!" I protest and cross my arms like a child.

"Never!" He runs away from me to the other side of the room but I'm quickly behind him. We did about one quick lap around the tiny room before I actually caught him and tackled his body to the ground.

"Take it back!" I say again while straddling his backside.

"Never!" He shouts again and this time I start to tickle him while he's under me. "Noo. S-s-stop, stop!" his hysterical laughter starts to overtake him. Carter starts to flip himself over while I continue tickling him until he's finally facing me. He grabs my hands fast and pinned them down causing me to also bend down forward a little bit closer to him. Our laughter starts to slowly die down as we're now face-to-face on the ground, my eyes accidentally locking into his.

"Oh-" I start to try to speak but he pulls my lips into his while leaving my hands pinned down beside us. We stay this way kissing for a while until I finally released my hands and put them around his neck instead. Eventually, we end up sitting up in unison and leaning against the side of the bed, our lips never parting for more than a second. I'm not sure how long we've been going on but I'm not complaining.
